@RepRileyMoore@HouseGOP Courage to do what, exactly? Surrendering to the Islamic Republic? What achievement are you celebrating? Reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which was already open before the war? I'm genuinely trying to understand what success you think was accomplished.
I have asked for days, why can't we, the people, see the damn MOU? Not through people briefed by an anonymous person. Honestly, I've never seen anything like this. If it is a great outcome for peace, then release it.
President Trump did indeed make a deal that’s in the national interest… Qatar’s national interest.
The concessions the media has reported thus far (which have yet to be confirmed because the U.S. is obfuscating the truth), are not in America’s interest. They certainly are not in Israel’s interest or that of the region.
The party which benefits the most is Qatar…just like all of Trump’s Witkoff pushed “ceasefires”.
Here’s an idea: if you want people to stop speculating about the MOU release the MOU. Don’t brief a few anointed ones to control the narrative and expect everyone else to sit silently. That’s not how our country works. It’s going to be signed soon. It takes time for people to digest it all once it is released. Controlling the narrative can only last so long.
Literally all of the objectives of this war were not met — thanks to Steve Witkoff and JD Vance.
None of these have been achieved:
- No (‼️) nuclear enrichment
- Removal of all enriched materials
- Destruction of the nuclear facilities
- Disarming Hamas
- Disarming Hezbollah
- Ending proxy terror funding
- Ballistic missile program reduction
- Assistance for the Iranian people
And of course, no commitments on human rights and no repercussions for the slaughter of over 40k Iranians in January by the regime.
Even with the military successes, this is an embarrassment for the United States and sets a terrible precedent. The iranian economy is in free fall due to the blockade — but Steve Witkoff and JD Vance intervened to save the regime and Donald Trump went with it.
