On April 23, AgScape hosted a thinkAG Career Competition at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds where 600 grades 7-8 students from the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic School Board and Grand Erie District School Board learned about Ontario’s dynamic agriculture and food system, met with industry experts, and explored meaningful careers in the sector.

On April 15 and 16, AgScape hosted a two-day thinkAG Career Competition at the Stratford Rotary Complex in Stratford where over 250 grade 7, 8, and 10 students had the opportunity to learn about Ontario’s dynamic agriculture and food system and explore rewarding careers in the sector from industry experts.

Thank you to the Stratford Rotary Complex and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board for partnering with us for this exciting event! I was pleased to attend the 4-H Volunteer Conference yesterday in Brampton to acknowledge and congratulate @wellingtncounty 4-H leader Charlie Twiss, who received a 2026 @4HOntario Arbor Award. He was one of three across the province to receive this very prestigious 4-H volunteer award this year. Congratulations also to Anna McIntyre and Craig Steven who were presented with their Arbor awards in other areas of the province yesterday. Volunteer leaders are the heartbeat and lifeblood of the 4-H program. Thank you to all who get involved in this important youth development program, in Ontario and across Canada. @4HCanada

Family Literacy Day raises awareness about the benefits of reading and learning as a family.
