@ahmd3ssam I think it could be an Egyptian touch :) given the fact that Cruise's current Executive Vice President (formerly was VP of Engineering) is Egyptian (his name is Mohamed Elshenawy). Also, as it was mentioned above a couple of Egyptians work there, I know personally one of them.
@maththrills I believe also the cliff detection mode is triggered here and the reason for that is due to the fact that IR sensors (which most robot vaccum cleaners rely on for this feature) do not work accurately under direct sunlight which leads to this Dracula's behaviour 😃
@ahmd3ssam Here's a fun fact, Dean Pomerleau, the lead researcher and developer of ALVINN, is currently founder and "chief fish trainer" of a company that allows fish owners to train their fish to do cool tricks :D (video attached)

@chr1sa For some industries (automotive and avionics for example), they rely heavily on Simulink and its C/C++ compliant code generator. There are even whole departments inside these companies dedicated for the tooling/automation of Simulink/Stateflow/Matlab components

I’m the last person that should be saying this, cos I’m guilty of this, but a friend asked me to speak up for them cos they’re afraid.
If alcohol is part of a meetup, a conf, a work outing, you’re excluding people who don’t wish to explain their struggles with alcohol to you.
