I bought Shift4 stock, the company I started 27 years ago, that serves predominantly hotels, restaurants, and stadiums, because it was trading at a multi-year low and permissible under my ethics agreement. I sold all SpaceX stock, any indirect equity exposure to it, and any other aerospace-related companies 18 months ago when I was first nominated for the job. A billion-dollar sacrifice I was happy to make to serve my country. I suspect I will be worth much less coming out of public service than going into it-- and that is completely fine!
Beginning today, we are industrializing nuclear battery production at the historic Vallecitos Nuclear Center.
With this facility, we will deliver our first nuclear battery to customers in 2027 and scale production in 2028 - powering critical missions from the seabed to the lunar surface.
"All the theatrics made everything so much more spectacular..
The quality of the theatrics was absolutely insane..
I was so focused on being perfect that night and it was incredible to do it on a stage like that"

🚩 VP VANCE: “Israel has the right to defend itself but … what the President has grown frustrated with is sometimes we seem to be right on the cusp of a major breakthrough in the agreement, and then all of a sudden there's a major explosion … in a civilian population center in Beirut and a lot of people who have nothing to do with Hezbollah lose their lives. That's not acceptable.”
Hitchens had the best review of Borat where he pointed out the whole movie was about how Americans were trying to accommodate a terrible foreigner and they’re not the ones who look bad https://t.co/ryT8AswcKp
“Awarded four months ahead of schedule, these contracts signify that the FQ-42 and FQ-44 meet rigorous mission requirements and are ready for full-scale manufacturing.”

The quest to discover the secrets of the universe is a shared endeavor, and not exclusive to the world’s space agencies. At @NASA we are grateful to partner with and support @ericschmidt and the @relativityspace team, and hope this mission can be a model for future privately funded, philanthropic efforts in space.
I love getting out to the Centers where the action is, hearing from those doing the work, and especially admiring them as they do the work.
What the pictures don’t show is the @NASA team, along with our industry partners, working hardware for Artemis III and even Artemis IV. We have core stage III in the VAB and RS-25s engines have started to arrive. There are multiple Orions being assembled and tested, including preparations to mate the improved heat shield for Artemis III.
Take a moment to think about this.. there are people working at @NASAKennedy and other NASA Centers right now, touching the hardware that will soon carry the astronauts of Artemis III and Artemis IV. They are working on the spaceships that will help return astronauts to the surface of the Moon 🇺🇸
Billions of butterflies are invading Starbase right now! I'm surprised there aren't millions of birds following this migration. All the grackles must be in a food coma already or something
I’m America First all the way but through my study of history I’ve really come to admire the British Empire and what it achieved over the course of centuries. It was undoubtedly a force for good in the world, and the men they sent out to colonize the planet were some of the most noble, brave, and manly to ever live. That’s why it pains me to see this once mighty nation brought to its knees by the barbarian hordes — an army of invaders who didn’t, and couldn’t, defeat them on the battlefield, but were rather let in the front door and given free rein to rape British daughters and slaughter British sons in the street. Very sad to see. What a tragic conclusion. And so totally preventable.
I've come to appreciate boring hotfires. Our BE-7 team recently completed a 2,500 second hotfire test at 10klbf on a development engine, setting the record for the longest-duration turbo pump-fed liquid rocket engine hotfire. This built on some of the most rigorous testing in the history of propulsion, with the previous record set by the RS-25 engine that powered the Space Shuttle. They recorded two 2,017 second tests in 1988. It's not lost on us that we're following a path those engineers blazed, and we're grateful for it. Grab the popcorn and enjoy watching 41 minutes of hotfire goodness.
