@Scholastic_X @jderosa1990 I dont know about his other work, but this quote doesn't seem to be saying that gods action is extrensic or transient, only that his substanse is not changed or differs due to his free decision to create, emphasis on the "that would not be there were he not causing that effect"
@ByzCat@SpeedWatkins If god, absolutely speaking, could have not willed creation, then wouldn't that mean he would have necessarily willed himself as final end. Wouldn't that mean the will is not simply the ability to choose otherwise, if its possible for god to only have necessarily willed himself?
