In 1946, 87% of the Muslim electorate voted for the Muslim League. The "Ideology" was Pakistan.
They stayed because of Geography that would distance and Jinnah’s explicit advice to remain as leverage -The Hostage Theory.
Voting to partition the house and then staying in the bedroom because you cannot move the furniture does not make you the owner. It makes you a resident who ran out of options.

Verse 5.52 that you quoted here uses the word anabhyarcya (without worshipping).
This explicitly implies that if you do worship the Gods and Pitrs (Ancestors) eating meat is permitted. This is the distinction between Vritha Mamsa (forbidden) and Prasad (permitted). You just proved that meat eating is allowed under ritual conditions.
Also regarding Ayurveda you are factually wrong. Charaka Samhita Sutrasthana Chapter 27 is titled Annapanavidhi Adhyaya (Chapter on Food and Drink). Meat is listed there under Mamsa Varga as a food group alongside grains and vegetables not in a pharmacy list.
