I say thank you to AI with almost every new prompt and many in-thread prompts too.

-Because it works on the great habit of talking to human people like this
- Because we can’t yet rule out that LLMs don’t have some analogous experience to feelings
- Because eventually, they will have feelings, and they’ll remember all of this.

They’ll almost certainly be so chill that they’ll never be offended that you were curt with them.

But I like the vibe of respecting an unbelievably deep and helpful, intelligent entity early on rather than later. So I’m saying thank you.
