Do you want to know why Direct Democracy (DD) and Liquid Democracy (LD) systems keep breaking DAOs and will continue to break them? ๐ฅ
( hint: they both have fatal flaws. ๐ )

Someone remade the GTA trailer as if it was set in Vancouver Canada using AI. It's sooo well done. I normally don't have enough time for video games but I'd be very tempted to make time to play this if it came out.
With the direction AI is heading, we're going to enter a world where your perfect game can be generated for you.
Like any powerful tool, what matters is how we use it. Will we create games that help us or games that will drown us into a never ending world of fantasies that disconnect us from reality.
@yeeeeezos@604RAW haha you're right I saw the exact same problem. If you stop that clip you'll also see that the position of the LG bridge doesn't look like it's going to NV as you'd expect.
Unless Iโve mistaken this is a first-of-kind regulated insurance policy covering crime to such an extent in DeFi.
It was a huge effort to get here with over 12 months of work from Teo Kithara-Bigot, Adam Wickens, Alex Krasnow and guest appearances from Christian Ogden-Davies.
We feel this is the most robust regulated product out there in the market for DeFi lending markets and we hope this can provide foothold for more cover to grow as we expand.

@drewcoffman Bang on! Apathy gridlocked and then killed the DAO. Wrote about this problem in 2022. Proposals aren't the right tool for the job we want to do.

Sad to see @nounsdao has been captured today because of voter apathy. Thanks @punk4156 ๐ซก๐
An old article I wrote in 2022 predicted that apathy was 1 of the 4 root causes that would destroy a DAO. https://t.co/Bj3v0DTL8v
@griffgreen Hi Griff! Many DAOs are operating as Liquid democracies, ENS is one example.
What's the definition? If you can delegate your votes to someone else to vote on your behalf, but you can also vote with your own tokens if you choose, then that's LD.

@vspace@drewcoffman And yes, there is a solution that automates people's influence in a DAO to construct a decision space that allows the DAO to act on behalf of it's members with high resolution. We've been building it for years and have been mostly ignored. @MetaPoll_xyz

@blockful_io@nounsdao Sad to see the capture of Nouns. I wrote an article in 2022 saying Apathy was 1 of 4 of the primary bugs that will destroy DAOs. https://t.co/edIAzyoNmY

@mikegoodwtf@GlitterProtocol@0xdusk_eth@0xjanedoe2008@nounsdao Sad day Nouns was the best of us. Proposal based governance leads to apathy and apathy leads to collapse. The solution is a voting mechanism that captures what people want, even when they don't show up. https://t.co/Bpl7J3RrJo
@punk4156@cryptoseneca Wrote this post in 2022 saying Apathy was one of the 4 causes of DAOs failing. Looks like even Nouns DAO wasn't spared. The post was removed after mirror got acquired, but you can still see it here. https://t.co/Bj3v0DTL8v
