"Eritreans have generally been able to rely on better transnational connections, these networks are under increasing strain. Eritreans’ perceived ability to access resources paradoxically makes them more likely targets of trafficking and exploitation"

Is President Isaias really lining up against Ethiopia's PM Abiy with this speech? What next?
"Both overt and covert acts of subversion against Eritrea are well known to everyone. The optimistic prospects that emerged in 2018 with Ethiopia have since dissipated"
It’s a sad reality, but the video speaks the truth. It’s hard to accept, yet undeniable: in a totalitarian regime, the people who appear to support it are not true believers—they are willing slaves. They don’t question authority, they don’t demand accountability, and they don’t dare to stand up for their rights. They’ve been conditioned to blindly follow whatever they’re told.
For years, they were taught that the TPLF was the main enemy of the EPLF. Then suddenly, the regime decides it wants peace with Ethiopia—and just like that, the narrative changes. Now, the regime declares the TPLF to be a key ally. It’s deeply ironic and even absurd.
What’s even more bizarre is watching these so-called supporters turn on each other while still defending the regime. It’s almost comical. I can’t help but laugh when I see them argue among themselves, unable to see the bigger picture. Despite all the chaos, they still lack the courage to demand their rights or break free from the system that controls them.

Eritrea’s nightmare ends the day the tyrant is captured - coward he is, he'll be found hiding in a hole. No nation is too small for justice. Eritrea will breathe free when Isaias finally falls. Freedom begins where fear ends. 💙
Alem Tsehaye is the brother of Seyoum Tsehaye, a courageous man who has been imprisoned without trial or any form of justice for over 20 years—since 2001—in Eritrea’s brutal prisons. To live with the knowledge that the regime you serve is the same regime that has stolen your own brother’s freedom is not just a betrayal—it is a deep, heartbreaking, and moral collapse. How can anyone remain loyal to a power that crushes its own people, tears families apart, and tramples on basic human rights?
This is a tragedy of enormous proportions, proof of how cold and cynical it is to sacrifice family bonds on the altar of power. When political loyalties outweigh family and justice, one loses not only their humanity but becomes a pawn in a brutal game where truth and justice are systematically destroyed.
The Eritrean regime has not only imprisoned Seyoum—it has imprisoned an entire nation in fear, silence, and suffering. It has used families as battlegrounds for its own survival and destroyed the fundamental values that bind us as human beings. This is not just an attack on Seyoum but an attack on everything we stand for—freedom, justice, and human dignity.
Alem Tsehaye stands in the midst of this darkness, forced to serve a regime that imprisons his own brother without evidence, without trial, without justice. It is a brutal reminder of how totalitarian regimes tear families and souls apart to maintain power and control. This betrayal echoes far beyond Eritrea’s borders—a cry for justice the world cannot ignore.
It is time for the world to wake up and demand freedom for Seyoum Tsehaye and all the other innocent prisoners. It is time for this regime’s power to be broken and for justice to be restored. No one should have to sacrifice their family on the ruthless altar of dictatorship. No one should live in fear that their loved ones will be crushed by a brutal system that chooses power over human dignity.
The Tsehaye family deserves justice. Seyoum deserves freedom. And we—the whole world—have a responsibility not to remain silent while this betrayal continues. This is more than a personal tragedy; it is a call to fight for the soul of humanity.

@Maryshowonline What ever happened to that Almaz lady while visiting #Eritrea felt compelled to speak to #Eritrean police/military with authority. I don't think Almaz thought dictatorship would impact her since she's a well known supporter or perhaps even favored. What a shame! #BlueRevolution
This is not our fate – this is a cry for freedom that cannot be silenced
A bloody appeal from the people of Eritrea to the world, the diaspora, and the youth
Pain. Suffering. Death. Oppression. Terror. These are not just words. They are the reality for millions of Eritreans every single day. Children robbed of their childhood and their future. Young men and women forced into endless military conscription, without hope, without freedom, without dignity. Families torn apart by secret prisons, never knowing what has happened to their loved ones. Thousands of refugees dying in the desert, in captivity, or drowning on their way to freedom.
This is not a fate we chose. It is the result of a regime that suffocates all hope, extinguishes lives, and crushes truth. A regime that has turned our country into a prison without walls, where fear and abuse of power are tools of control. But we refuse to let this injustice define us. We refuse to accept that oppression, torture, and death should be our legacy.
We demand freedom. We demand justice. We demand the world acts now!
To the UN and the international community:
How long will you stand silent while a regime violates fundamental human rights with complete impunity? How long will you ignore the cries of a people suffering under torture, arbitrary detention, and deadly escape attempts? Eritrea is not a closed chapter – it is an ongoing catastrophe.
We demand:
An independent, international investigation into war crimes, crimes against humanity, and systematic human rights violations in Eritrea.
Immediate, harsh sanctions against regime leaders, their closest allies, and companies profiting from oppression.
Protection and international support for Eritrean refugees and dissidents risking their lives to oppose dictatorship.
Unhindered access for the UN and human rights organizations to document the truth and support civilians.
Free access to the internet and independent communication for all Eritreans. The regime’s digital prison must end.
To the Eritrean diaspora:
We have the freedom to speak – but it is a responsibility, not a right to ignore. Our people’s pain is our pain. It is time we do more than just send money or stay silent. Our freedom is tied to the freedom of our brothers and sisters at home. Use your voice! Use your freedom! Organize, demand action, stand against injustice!
The dictatorship fears us because we can create change – together. Let us not give them back their power through silence.
To Eritrea’s youth – at home and in exile:
You are the force that can break the chains that have held us captive for decades. The regime has tried to crush your hope, silence your dreams, and steal your future. But the spark of resistance lives within you.
Do not let fear silence your voice. Use knowledge, technology, unity, and courage to build a new Eritrea. You are not alone – we stand together, in the country and in the diaspora. Our time is now. We refuse to be a forgotten generation, a lost future.
Freedom is not a privilege – it is a right.
We deserve more than pain. We deserve life. We deserve an Eritrea with a constitution that protects us. An Eritrea with justice, running water, education, healthcare, and work worthy of human beings. An Eritrea where we can speak, dream, and live without fear.
This is not just a fight for Eritrea – it is a fight for human dignity, hope, and the future. Our voice cannot be ignored. Our fight cannot be stopped.
“Freedom is not a gift we receive – it is a fight we must win. And we will win, because our will is stronger than their oppression.”
Let us stand together, unshakable and strong, until freedom rules over fear. Until Eritrea becomes again a home for hope and dignity.
Silence is betrayal. Courage is our strength. The fight is our path. Freedom is our right.

@alema_kidus Pain, sarrow, misery, suffering & oppression doesn't have to be our fate. We deserve to live freely, in peace, with a constitution, rule of law & basic needs like running water, education, healthcare, security, internet/wifi & fair wages.#RegimeChangeInEritrea#BlueRevolution@UN
