Students were told we had to go back to university, for in-person teaching.
We paid our extortionate rents for tiny box bedrooms - in some cases, we had to pay upfront.
Aleisha (@ANStansfield) is our comms officer. Having joined in 2017, she works at Lib Dem HQ alongside studying Politics and Media at Newcastle Uni. She's been the North East Lib Dems' diversity officer for the past two years. She loves to bake and cook in her spare time.

We have been warned of food shortages after we leave the EU. There are children in this country going hungry already, despite us being one of the wealthiest nations in the world. The Gov't must seek an extension - or risk deepening the existing deadly divides in our society.
Thanks to the officer from @nottspolice who helped me get across a junction without adequate dropped kerbs, but @MyNottingham should really sort this out. Would love it if the city was accessible to ALL not just the many.

Honestly I'm so glad I virtually bumped into Jess at YL's online conference. I've never known someone go from pretty much inactive in YL to being so valuable to and enthused about the organisation so quickly. In 6 months you've gone from a stranger to a firm friend ๐๐
Meet Amanda & Adrian. Adrian has stage 4 bowel cancer. He responded well to chemo - so well that his docs scheduled a life-saving operation to remove a large part of his liver. It was due in April. Then came lockdown, then the op was cancelled. Adrianโs cancer is now terminal
