@SketchEngine@coocho The Russian government and those who support Putin will never know that you blocked the Russian users. Those colleagues who use #sketchengine in Russia do not support the war and have already been affected by sanctions from other companies.
Interpreters and translators community in Russia is against the war! The invasion has already brought grief and devastation to all of us. We don't want our country to end up in economic and cultural isolation.

This is how it feels being on the other side of the "automatic translation" button in Zoom π
To be fair, even before the age of Zoom conferences, some people didn't realize there were human interpreters in the booths.

Really enjoyed today's ITIWRG @itiwesternregio Members' Day. Thank you for organising this, I feel very lucky to have learned about the group right before the event. In person networking feels great!
Apparently, very Finnish problems apply to weirdly translated Russian names as well. According to the current rules of transliteration my name is spelled Anastasiia in all official documents. Though before 2015 people with the same name had only one 'i' in it. Don't ask me why
@DVLAgovuk Hi! I have a non-EU licence which I've been using for a year. My theory test was cancelled, there are no tests available for the next few months to get a UK licence. Is there an extension of the 12-months period for the holders of non-EU licences? Thank you!
Today I've attended a workshop on paperless preparation for #interpreters organised by brilliant @MahaElMetwally and @dmw_interpreter! Loads of useful information, still need time to process it all. Got a chance to share my passion for #corpus#linguistics methods!
Information about @bhamcathedral is now available in Russian in my translation. One of the last year's highlights of my professional activity.

@wreallystudios @sdltrados @wreallystudios Transcribe project is great! I'm happy I found it. It doesn't have Cuban Spanish so I used Mexican (though they are not very similar), but I still got a very good result. And it made my work on the project so much easier.
With @wreallystudios and @sdltrados a project of transcribing and translating 90 minutes of Cuban Spanish interviews that looked incredibly difficult and time-consuming at the beginning only took me about 12 hours in total. It's still hard work, but so much faster with technology
Last Friday #frightnights#Halloween at @AstonHallMuseum. Scaring people turned out to be much fun! To be honest I wouldn't enter the scary maze if I was a visitorπ±π±π±
