Muhammad Iqbal Jahan is a lifetime political worker advocating for the rights of the working-class citizens of Islamabad. Originating from the small village of Kausar Fateh Khel in the Bannu district, Iqbal Jahan has actively engaged in working-class politics in Islamabad for the past two decades. He is best known for leading the ongoing struggle against oppressive eviction operations targeting informal settlements and strives to secure the fundamental right to housing for all citizens.
Since joining the Awami Workers Party in 2015, Iqbal Jahan has steadfastly supported many groups of working people including kachi abadi dwellers, porters, CDA employees, daily laborers, TNT employees, WAPDA employees, railway employees, newspaper unions, traders associations, health workers, journalists, lawyers, students, women's organizations, and movements of oppressed nations.
