Feedback to UBA – WAEC/Independent Layout Branch, Enugu

Today, I visited the UBA branch around WAEC/Independent Layout, Enugu, and while I was there, I noticed something that I believe deserves attention.

Throughout my time with Customer Support, I had to remain standing while being attended to. There were no chairs or suitable seating arrangements for customers receiving assistance at the Customer Support desk.

This can be quite uncomfortable, especially for customers who may have to wait for some time before their issues are resolved. Other banks provide seating arrangements that allow customers to sit comfortably while being attended to.

I kindly suggest that UBA consider providing high-standing stools or suitable chairs around the Customer Support area so customers can sit and relax while receiving assistance.

And if UBA is looking for where to get quality high-standing stools, they can as well buy them from us at Mratm Interiors, Enugu. 😄 We would be happy to help upgrade the customer experience at the branch.

UBA is a reputable bank, and small improvements like this can make a significant difference to the overall customer experience.

I hope this feedback reaches the appropriate management team and is considered positively. Thank you.

While appearing on @therealmediaNG, the Police Spokesperson, CSP Anitie Okokon, said the law does not allow anybody to pay for bail at any police station.

He added that if you go to any police station and are asked to pay for bail, you should quietly walk outside and call the IGP.

This is actually unbelievable and funny to me. Will the police, who have been accused severally of maltreating people, allow anyone to walk outside and call the IGP?

Does an ordinary citizen even have the IGP’s contact? Because I don’t.

The National Chairman of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Moses Cleopas, yesterday inaugurated the NDC National Reconciliation Committee.

The committee, in its terms of reference, was saddled with the responsibility of pacifying and reconciling aggrieved members of the party to ensure party cohesion and support for the candidates that have emerged.

The Committee is to meet and interact with all stakeholders, aspirants, aggrieved members, and party officials.

In his address, the National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas, said the committee’s task extended beyond resolving disputes to rebuilding confidence among members after the primaries.

The committee is chaired by renowned economist and elder statesman Prof. Pat Utomi, @UtomiPat with Baba Buba Galadima, an elder statesman, co-chairing the committee.

The chairman, Prof. Pat Utomi, expressed confidence that the Nigeria Democratic Congress will reunite its aggrieved members ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Prof. Utomi described the assignment as both a privilege and a major responsibility, saying the panel would work towards restoring unity within the party while keeping its focus on Nigeria’s future.

“One of the things we have come to agreement on is that the NDC is a party of the future, focused on the young people of this country. The median age of our country is 19.5 years.”

Also speaking, the committee’s co-chairman, Buba Galadima, acknowledged that reconciling aggrieved party members would be challenging but expressed optimism that the committee would succeed.

The co-chairman also stated that the process of producing candidates under the Electoral Act is such that it is impossible for any opposition party to produce candidates without rancour.

“As I earlier said, the Electoral Act has long been perfected and skewed against the opposition before it was sent to the National Assembly. President Tinubu is protecting his party and making it difficult for other parties to produce strong candidates. I therefore urge all Nigerians to come together and throw him out in 2027.”

On 22 July 2026, I became involved in a financial dispute that has left me with a significant loss, and I am asking for the public's help in bringing attention to my case.

I am a Nigerian cryptocurrency P2P trader. Over time, I completed several successful trades with a trader named Mr. Kenneth Mercer-Wood through the OKX P2P platform. Because our previous transactions had gone smoothly, I trusted him when we entered into another trade.

During that transaction, I sold 2,794.11 USDT. Payment of 9,500 Israeli Shekels (ILS) was sent to the designated Bank Leumi account for the purchase of the cryptocurrency.

After the transfer appeared, I was informed by the recipient that they preferred to wait because they believed certain Bank Leumi-to-Bank Leumi transfers could potentially be reversed within a short period. I communicated this concern to Mr. Mercer-Wood and asked if he could wait until the payment was confirmed as final before I released the cryptocurrency.

According to my understanding of what happened, Mr. Mercer-Wood insisted that I release the USDT immediately. Because we had completed several successful trades in the past, I trusted him and released the cryptocurrency.

Only a few hours later, I was informed that the 9,500 ILS transfer had been reversed, leaving me without both the payment and the 2,794.11 USDT I had already released.

I contacted Mr. Mercer-Wood immediately. He later told me that the bank informed him the transfer had been reversed and said he had not personally requested the reversal. Since then, despite many conversations and promises to visit the bank and resolve the issue, I have still not recovered my money or my cryptocurrency.

I have preserved evidence relating to this matter, including the transfer receipt, our communications, and videos connected to the transaction. I have also submitted complaints to the relevant platforms and am seeking assistance from the appropriate authorities.

I am not asking anyone to harass, threaten, or make assumptions about anyone's guilt. I am simply asking for my case to receive attention so that the appropriate authorities and platforms can review the evidence and help ensure a fair resolution.

Today, we take another decisive step in our collective journey towards building a more united, peaceful and inclusive Kaduna State.

Together with our traditional rulers, religious leaders, community organisations, women and youth groups, we have strengthened the foundations of peace through dialogue, mutual respect and shared development. As security has improved, farmers have returned to their lands, businesses have expanded, investments have grown and hope has steadily replaced fear in many communities. Our experience has affirmed a simple truth: lasting peace is built not only by security measures but by fairness, inclusion and equal opportunity.

It is in furtherance of this vision that I have chosen Mr. Jerry Adams to join me on this journey.

Jerry Adams is an accomplished public servant, an outstanding tax administrator and an institution builder whose leadership has transformed the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service into one of Nigeria's most respected revenue agencies. Through innovation, transparency & professionalism, he has helped strengthen our fiscal capacity, enabling government to invest even more in the education of our children, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture & other critical sectors that improve the lives of our people.
