Kalyani, a single mother of a boy, started working as waitress at a mutton biryani shop. There, she met Mohd Shafi who worked as a butcher

What followed is too familiar: Kalyani discovered Shafi was already married. She demanded he return the money. Instead, he offered she live as his second wife and have her son circumcised

On September 17, Shafi slit her throat, chopped her body into several pieces and threw the remain in different places, including a canal

Vijaywada police (Andhra Pradesh) found a tattoo on one of the body parts. When media reported this, her family came forward and identified her

It is easy to mock the IRCTC reservation system and I am not saying you should not. After all, that is your choice. 🙏

But the next time you mock it, pause for a moment and look at these numbers first:

- 37,410 tickets in 60 seconds (16 Aug 2025, 10:02 AM). That is 623 confirmed bookings a second.

- 20,06,353 tickets in one calendar day (7 Sep 2026.). Next day still 19.5 lakh. ARP opening days push 1.33-1.74 crore logins and 17-20 lakh bookings through NGeT.

- PRS moves ~20.5 lakh reserved passengers every day across 7,469 stations. Jun 2025-Jun 2026: 65.08 crore reserved tickets, 89% online.

- IRCTC online average: 14.53 lakh tickets/day in 2025-26, for about 25.5 lakh reserved passengers/day. FY24-25, e-ticketing collected ₹70,215 crore in fare. 10.01 crore verified user IDs.

- The thing you are cursing is being rebuilt to 1.5 lakh bookings a minute and 40 lakh enquiries a minute. Old live ceiling was ~25-32k/min.

- Indian Railways originated 729.3 crore passenger journeys in 2024-25. That is about 2 crore people a day if you include suburban + unreserved + reserved. Reserved is only the loud slice.

- 13,940 passenger trains and 11,631 goods trains run on an average day on 69,439 route km, 1.37 lakh track km, 16,092 locos, 84,238 passenger coaches. Same rails, same clocks.

- A confirmed berth is not an airline seat. No 5-10% overbook and pray. One berth, one PNR, locked across quotas, intermediate stations, family blocks, senior lower berths, RAC and waitlist. That is why Tatkal feels like a fistfight: the inventory is real and finite.

- They have deactivated ~3 crore IDs and suspended ~6.3 crore more for tout/bot patterns. The lag you hate is partly the price of not letting scripts eat the window.

The national reservation grid booking 600 seats a second without double selling a berth from Kachchh to Kohima is not a joke. 🙏🙏

CJP protest organisers Saurav Das, Abhijit Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Ratna Singh have been named in an FIR filed in Delhi today

In a disturbing case where a woman's picture was morphed in a highly derogatory manner, placed indecently alongside prime minister Narendra Modi's picture, and circulated during the protest

Complainant filed the FIR with support of @BhaiPreetSingh and @VikasNagwan. Complainant says police were m not filing a case initially

Massive offensive is planned by US based @EqualityLabs Equality Labs- EL in coordination with @IAMCouncil, a namesake body representing Indian Muslims which is overwhelmingly manned by ISI recruited Pakistanis.
Equality Labs- EL and IAMC would be launching a global VISA ban campaign against #IIT associated scientists, professors, researchers, students and IIT graduates citing caste based discrimination/ harassment in IIT campuses. The campaign would unroll as follows
1) The ongoing issue of the unfortunate death of a Dalit student at @iitbombay is to be optimally used by EL and IAMC to ensure various EU and US entities such as HR groups, advocacy NGOs and lobbying firms give statements against IITs.
2) EL and IAMC would approach various foreign ministries to press VISA ban against IIT related individuals.
3) IAMC would publish paid OpEds/ articles authored by US/ European authors, journalists in respective newspapers against so called IIT caste bias
4) Placard protests in front of Indian embassies/ diplomatic missions would be arranged during the next phase focusing IIT issues.
5) Aggressive PR campaigns would be launched within the corporate field appealing them not to engage, employ IITians.
Government agencies should closely watch Adv Navneet Pal and victim student parent's lawyer Adv Nikhil Kamble and @SFI_CEC cadres should be closely watched.

I had stickers on my hostel cupboard at 19 that said "build a company the world uses."

Not a vision board or a Pinterest aesthetic.

Just handwritten stickers inside a cupboard in my single room at IIIT Delhi, arranged in a pathway like step one, step two, step three, leading up to that one line at the very top.

I never showed them to anyone.
Partly because I was not sure anyone would take it seriously, and partly because I was not sure I believed it myself yet.

But every morning I would open that cupboard to grab my things, and those stickers would look back at me before anything else did.

At that point I had no business background, no co-founder, no idea what neuroscience even was.

My father is an Air Force lawyer and my mother is a biology teacher.
Nobody in my family had ever built a company.

All I had was a feeling I could not explain and a cupboard that remembered it for me.

Six years later, the device we built at Marbles Health is :
→ Treating depression in 75+ hospitals across India.
→ Over 18,000 brain stimulation sessions delivered.

I still think about that cupboard sometimes.
The stickers worked.

Interestingly employee of Adv Mihir Desai's chamber Adv Navneet who is OCI card holder German citizen. Adv Navneet was present at hospital where dead body of deceased IIT Bombay student's parents and relatives were present and She was provoking his relatives to lodge Atrocities Act FIR against Prof Suryanarayana Doolla.
