ЁЯФе тАЬNO LUNCH BREAK IN BANKS!тАЭ RBI Says It, Instagram Reels Repeat ItтАж But Does Anyone Know the Real Situation Inside Bank Branches?
Every day, customers watch Instagram reels saying, тАЬBanks have no lunch timeтАЭ and then walk into branches ready to argue with employees.
Yes, RBI expects uninterrupted customer service during business hours. Fair enough.
But here's the hypocrisy nobody wants to discuss.
In many branchesтАФespecially Regional Rural BanksтАФthere may be just one cashier and one officer. That officer is often the Branch Manager too. Add one outsourced sub-staff member, and that's the entire branch workforce.
Now tell me: Who will replace the only cashier during lunch?
Bank employees are not robots. They are humans. They get hungry too.
If uninterrupted service is mandatory, RBI and top bank management should first ensure adequate staffing, proper infrastructure and security arrangements, so employees can take lunch on a rotational basis without leaving the cash counter unattended.
But adequate staffing means more recruitment. More recruitment means higher employee costs. And suddenly, everyone becomes silent.
And let's ask an uncomfortable question: Don't RBI employees take lunch? Visit an RBI officeтАФyou'll find proper canteen facilities where employees can sit and eat.
Don't senior banking management and officials take lunch?
Then why is a 15тАУ20 minute lunch taken by an understaffed branch employee treated like a crime?
Customer service matters. Absolutely.
But employee dignity and basic human needs matter too.
If the government, RBI and bank management genuinely care about customers, don't just issue instructions to branches. Create the staffing and infrastructure required to implement them.
You cannot demand uninterrupted service with interrupted staffing.
Bankers are humans, not machines.

Heartbreaking : GenZ PO committed suicide!de in Bank of Baroda, due to Work load and recruitment policy with High Bond of тВ╣5Lakh.

As per Order by @DC_Gurugram Bank employees will work 9am to 6pm in Banks, after that they will do Census Duties till night, even on Saturday and Sunday.
That's Dark Reality of Millennial City Gurugram with NO Work Life Balance for Bankers. @DFS_India@nsitharaman@NayabSainiBJP
It's becoming hell day by day, insurance and third party destroyed everything and now core banking can only seen in financial minister tweets.

This is not just about bankers. Many jobs today slowly destroy people тАФ physically or mentally. Banking has become one of them.
In February 2026, Rajya Sabha was informed that 500+ bank employees died by suicide in recent years. And these are only reported cases.
Reasons often include:
тАв Impossible targets
тАв Fear-based management
тАв Constant pressure & monitoring
тАв No fixed working hours
A Bank of Baroda Chief Manager wrote in his 2025 suicide note:
тАЬPlease donтАЩt create undue pressure on employees.тАЭ
People outside see banking as stable and secure. They donтАЩt see the daily pressure of targets, audits, recovery, compliance, staff shortage, and nonstop reporting.
Banks manage crores of peopleтАЩs money, but many are failing to manage their own employees like human beings.
If your child wants to enter banking, donтАЩt show only salary and stability. Show the ground reality too.
Not every secure-looking job is secure from inside.

7 RMs - 7 Legal Notice
Same date. Same format. Same Advocate
What exactly happened inside #UPGB?
I openly accept every legal notice sent to me. My advocate has already replied to each one of them. We have also sent a formal representation to @Bankofbaroda seeking institutional clarification.
Now the real question:
тЭУWere these notices sent in personal capacity?
тЭУOr with the knowledge and permission of Bank of Baroda management?
тЭУWas this an organised attempt to silence the voice of a banker?
Chairman #YS_Thakur, instead of using RMs as tools to send fashion notices, please focus on doing something good for your own bankers.
If leadership works with integrity, GMs and RMs will follow.
If management stops harassment and exploitation, no banker will need to raise their voice.
We are not here to defame anyone.
We are here to criticise what is wrong and support what is right.
We hope for better governance, not confrontation.
Now, Mr. Chairman, the decision is yours.
Silence a voice or correct the system.
