As Pakistan failed to deliver on the promises it made to PoJK on 4 October last year, PoJK witnessed huge protests on 4th October to mark the day as Black Day, calling it a Day of Deception. Black banners were seen everywhere, with revolutionary slogans being raised to mark the day. The day saw huge participation from people from all sections of society, raising a unified voice for their rights against the Pakistani establishment, which has turned a deaf ear to the people of PoJK.

As large scale protests continue in PoJK against Pakistan, students from the occupied region have also taken to the streets, demanding reforms and basic rights. At a time when these students should be in schools, colleges and universities, they are instead on the roads, raising their voices for basic needs, rights and a better future.

The Flydubai cockpit incident is deeply concerning. If the reported attack by the co-pilot was backed by some form of radicalisation, then it must be condemned unequivocally. Islam rejects every form of radicalisation, extremism, and violence against innocent people. No act of violence should be allowed to be justified in the name of religion.

Salute to Captain Smit Machchhar. Badly injured, in pain, and still he opened that door. He did not run, he did not hide, he did his duty and he saved 174 lives. This is the India we are all proud of.

Two visuals, two regions, two realities.
PoJK🇵🇰 — where police using force against civilians, amid reports of killings and rights violations.
Kashmir🇮🇳 — where a police officer calmly talking to students, like a guardian.
