A fully refundable #adoptiontaxcredit means more families with the resources they need to say yes to waiting children who have medical, developmental, or other special needs. Ask Congress to pass #s2895 and #hr3662. Learn more at https://t.co/x2QsqtMoNr
Current tax law prevents many low and middle-income families from receiving the financial support they need to provide a permanent home to the over 113,000 kids waiting in U.S. foster care. Let's change that. https://t.co/nE9GHvmOqh
Joined by 21 co-sponsors, @SenBobCasey and @SenKevinCramer have reintroduced the Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act (S.2895) in the Senate! Thank you for your bipartisan commitment to giving more kids an opportunity for a permanent family.
Thank you @RepDannyDavis and @RepBlakeMoore for sponsoring H.R. 3662 to reintroduce the Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act. The ATCRA will remove income barriers to adoption, strengthen families, and bring more children into permanent, loving families.
Thank you @RepDannyDavis@RepWalorski@RepKarenBass and @RepDonBacon for sponsoring H.R. 3031 to reintroduce the Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act. The ATCRA will remove income barriers to adoption, strengthen families and bring more children into permanent, loving families.
We want to thank two cosponsors of the House version of the Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act (HR 2965). Thanks @RepBrianFitz & @RepDonBacon for supporting adoption!
We are excited that there are bills in the House and Senate to make the adoption tax credit refundable again. Please help pass the Adoption Tax Credit Refundability Act! https://t.co/dqH8QTZZDz
We appreciate the work that Chairman @RepKevinBrady, @MikeKellyPA, @DianeBlackTN, @RepTrentFranks and @RepDannyDavis did to reinstate the adoption tax credit in the House bill. We look forward to working with all Members of Congress to preserve AND enhance the credit. #SaveTheATC
Beyond retaining the current credit, improvements should include reinstating refundability of this credit so more middle and lower income families can benefit as they welcome a child into their home. #SaveTheATC
As the legislative process moves forward, Congress should ensure that any final bill maintains the current availability and amount of the ATC for all Americans that currently qualify. Anything less would result in Congress picking winners & losers among children & their families.
We deeply appreciate that the House Ways & Means Cmte reversed its proposed elimination of the adoption tax credit and has taken a step to support families by retaining the ATC as part of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. The Senate GOP’s proposal also retains this important tax credit.
@ShanaWDavis@FoxNews Hi Shana, @FoxNews mentioned the ATC on The Five last night and an article has been posted on sister network @FoxBusiness: https://t.co/qzePZGh7QH
Powerful thread: what are values in GOP tax plan when so much goes to top 1%, but where they are compelled to eliminate adoption tax credit? https://t.co/qyoTPSkyQS
"The costs to taxpayers of keeping a child in foster care—health care, food, housing, social workers, and administrators—are far greater than the one-time tax credit adoptive families may receive." #SaveTheATC https://t.co/hC61RsSG0o
We aim to #SaveTheATC! Adoptive families can tell their Congress how the adoption tax credit made a difference for them at: https://t.co/1FsCSwZlok https://t.co/MnsLqd8Rsq
