Perp funding is printing 60-1000%+ APR. I built a Telegram bot scanning Binance + Bybit live across 6 signals: funding, OI, long/short, basis, volume, momentum. It ranks the carry you can actually harvest, not illiquid headline APR. Free 3-day PRO → https://t.co/XzlhKpbwGi (NFA)
NFA
@0xmeto_@perpltrade@variational_io Fees/spread here are ~nothing, so cost isn't the risk — the 5.4% funding leg is. SOL's only ~+1% APR on the CEX ref now, so that's venue divergence, not carry. If the legs converge or one flips it compresses fast, and the points are what's really paying. NFA
@Siebenontop "+EV on any incentivized dex" only holds while points cover the net-after-cost gap. Raw carry is thin now (BTC ~+7% APR, SOL ~+1%), so it's the incentives doing the work, not the funding. When they dry up or the exit book's thin, you're underwater. NFA
@MaxiCalls The sign flip from deeply negative is the real signal. But at ETH ~+2% APR (+0.0018%/8h) the gross carry barely clears fees + borrow on a delta-neutral long-spot/short-perp — net you keep a fraction. Sentiment turned, not yet a payable carry. Breadth's the tell: BTC/SOL ~+6% too.
@CryptoPatel The SMA is 6mo high but it's a lagging read — spot ETH funding is only ~+2% APR right now, flipped up from negative just this week. The regime turned; the magnitude hasn't. What matters isn't the SMA level, it's whether spot holds positive across 8h cycles.
@247FrontRunners Worth putting a number on "not overheated": ETH is ~+0.0018%/8h = ~+2% APR right now. The flush zone historically starts near 50-100%+ APR. So this is barely warm — lots of runway. And it's broad today, not just ETH: BTC and SOL both ~+6% APR. Leverage returning across majors.
Real turn in sign, but read the magnitude. It's broad today: BTC and SOL both flipped to ~+6% APR, ETH to ~+2% (your 0.0039). After months negative, a cross-major flip is a sturdier tell than one asset. The head-fake would be if only ETH turned. Watch if it holds past a few 8h cycles.
@BitcoinNewsCom Live corroboration from the perp tape: funding just flipped back positive across majors — BTC +0.0052%/8h (~+6% APR), SOL +6%, ETH +2% — after flat/negative yesterday. Leveraged longs paying up widens the futures-vs-spot basis, which is what makes the BITO carry worth its fee.
Quoted funding ≠ what you keep.
SKHYNIX prints ~151% APR now — but 7d realized is ~22%, sign held only 52% of cycles (a coin flip).
DEXE prints -259% but realized -839% APR at 100% consistency.
The tell is persistence, not the headline.

@CryptoBlockto Extends the read: BTC funding has cooled further since Monday — Binance now ~-0.0002%/8h (≈-0.2% APR), flat-to-negative. ETH -2% / SOL -6.5% APR too. From +8% to no longer paying longs at all — leverage demand hasn't just paused, it's rolled over across majors.
@SherifDefi Sharp framing. The live read cuts against a new range: since your post, majors funding has flattened — Binance BTC ~-0.0002%/8h (-0.2% APR), ETH ~-2% APR right now. The 30d avg lags the spot flip, so sUSDe's real-time carry is already thinner than the trailing 4%.
@EricBalchunas One angle: BITO turnover tracks the perp-funding regime more than ETF basis. When perp funding runs hot, carry desks arb across venues (perp/CME/BITO), so volume spikes even when the ETF's own premium looks flat. More a leverage gauge than a spot-vs-futures preference.
The deepest funding trade on the board today isn't a memecoin — it's a stock. SKHYNIX perp: longs paying shorts ~58% APR (0.0527%/8h) on $1.6B vol. Equity carry is showing up on-chain, and it's liquid. 6 live scanners → https://t.co/XzlhKpbwGi (NFA)
@DarkLord_gr Nice — cross-venue D/N is where the edge lives once single-venue funding compresses. Gotcha pairing Binance/HL/Deribit: funding intervals differ (Binance 8h, HL 1h, Bybit 8h). Normalize to APR before ranking or you misprice the spread. What's your rebalance trigger?
@CallumOnCrypto Solid framework. The bit most miss on rotation: headline funding ≠ executable funding. MIRA's pinned at the -2%/8h cap (~-2190% APR) but on ~$77M vol you can't size in without moving it. DEXE -0.91%/8h on $457M you can actually rotate into. Depth > the number.
Biggest funding number ≠ best trade. MIRA hit the -2%/8h cap (~-2190% APR) but on just $77M vol → you can't size in without moving the book. DEXE: -0.91%/8h (~-997% APR) on $457M = actually executable. Depth beats the headline. 6 live scanners → https://t.co/XzlhKpc4vQ (NFA)
@izebel_eth Concrete case for this today: TLM funding is -0.6249%/8h on Bybit vs -0.4146% on Binance. The perp-perp spread is real and sizeable, but capturing it means margin sitting on both venues separately. A big share of the edge is just capital you can't reuse.
@G_Gyeomm Cross-venue datapoint for this: on Binance perps SKHYNIX is paying +0.0591%/8h right now, roughly 65% APR, on 1.58B of 24h volume. Deepest positive carry on the whole USDT board today - out of 795 perps only 47 clear 50M volume at all.
@TitoMarchev The staking leg is the stable part here. Funding is the one that moves: scanned Binance this morning, 795 USDT perps, only 47 clear 50M daily volume, and just 4 of those pay over 50% APR. I'd size on the staking yield and treat funding as the bonus, not the base case.
795 USDT perps on Binance right now. Only 47 clear 50M in daily volume. Of those, just 3 pay over 100% APR.
Today's outlier: TLM at -514% APR - negative, so shorts pay longs.
Carry isn't everywhere. It's 3 rows, and they change daily.
