Zhvilluam një bashkëbisedim të hapur dhe të frytshëm mbi forcimin e bashkëpunimit me institucionet vendore të shqiptarëve në Luginën e #Preshevës, jo vetëm në planin politik, por edhe përmes nismave dhe projekteve konkrete në fushën e ekonomisë, arsimit, kulturës, rinisë dhe zhvillimit lokal.

Ritheksova vëmendjen e vazhdueshme të Qeverisë së Shqipërisë ndaj çështjeve dhe shqetësimeve të shqiptarëve në Luginë. Mbrojtja dhe promovimi i të drejtave dhe lirive themelore të shqiptarëve atje, respektimi i parimit të barazisë dhe mosdiskriminimit, si dhe ruajtja dhe avancimi i identitetit të tyre kombëtar, gjuhësor e kulturor, mbeten përparësi të qëndrueshme të Ministrisë për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme dhe të institucioneve shqiptare.

🇦🇱 Mirë se vini! Delighted to welcome Albanian Foreign Minister @HoxhaFer to Brussels, a friend and a former diplomat who knows this city inside out from his years as Ambassador here. And unfortunately familiar with the typical Belgian rain showers!

We had a meeting full of good news. Belgium will open an embassy in Tirana, a clear signal of the importance we attach to our relationship. And just last week, Albania became the second EU candidate country to receive the IBAR, entering the concluding phase of accession negotiations. That is a remarkable achievement and one we congratulate Albania for warmly.

Belgium encourages Albania to continue on this path with the same determination, particularly on rule of law, judicial independence and the fight against corruption. The path to membership is merit-based, and Albania is proving it can deliver.

We also discussed our bilateral cooperation on justice, police and the fight against organised crime, as well as Albania's constructive role in regional stability. The Western Balkans are high on my agenda. I look forward to visiting Tirana next year for the opening of our embassy.

📍Bruxelles -- Very pleased to meet and catch up with MEP @andreykovatchev.

Our discussion focused on the regional and broader geopolitical dynamics shaping Europe today, including Albania’s EU accession process and the importance of preserving the current momentum of enlargement. We discussed also about the report on #Albania adopted last month by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, which sends a strong and encouraging message in support of our European path.

At a time of increasing geopolitical uncertainty, #enlargement is a strategic investment in a stronger, more secure, and more united Europe, and is essential for strengthening Europe’s stability, resilience, and geopolitical credibility.

Grateful for Mr. Kovatchev’s continued engagement and support for Albania’s EU accession process and for advancing the #European perspective of the entire region of #WesternBalkans. 🇦🇱🇪🇺

Je suis profondément reconnaissant pour l’accueil chaleureux, l’hospitalité généreuse et l’excellente qualité des échanges que j’ai euses avec le Vice-Premier ministre et ministre des Affaires étrangères, des Affaires européennes et de la Coopération au développement, Maxime Prévot @prevotmaxime. 🇦🇱🇧🇪

Notre rencontre a confirmé l’excellence des relations entre l’#Albanie et la #Belgique, ainsi que notre volonté commune d’approfondir le dialogue politique et de renforcer davantage notre partenariat bilatéral.

J’ai salué avec plaisir la décision de la Belgique d’ouvrir une #Ambassade à #Tirana, une initiative concrète et hautement appréciée qui donnera une nouvelle impulsion à notre coopération. Nous avons exprimé notre conviction que cette évolution importante contribuera à développer davantage les échanges économiques, à accroître le commerce et les investissements, à promouvoir le tourisme, à renforcer la coopération dans le domaine des énergies renouvelables et à créer de nouvelles opportunités dans un large éventail de secteurs.

Nos discussions ont également porté sur notre étroite coopération dans les domaines de la justice et de la sécurité, ainsi que sur les défis sécuritaires plus larges auxquels l’Europe est confrontée aujourd’hui. Nous avons échangé sur les évolutions régionales et sur l’importance de maintenir une réponse #européenne forte et unie face aux défis géopolitiques actuels.

Nous avons souligné la contribution précieuse de la communauté #albanaise en Belgique, qui constitue un véritable pont entre nos deux pays et joue un rôle essentiel dans le renforcement des liens humains, culturels et économiques.

J’ai exprimé la profonde reconnaissance de l’Albanie pour le soutien constant de la Belgique à la politique d’#élargissement et à notre processus d’intégration européenne. À la suite de la huitième Conférence intergouvernementale, l’Albanie est entrée dans une nouvelle phase décisive de son parcours d’adhésion à l’Union européenne, avec une priorité claire : poursuivre les réformes nécessaires, faire avancer les négociations et progresser résolument vers l’adhésion à l’Union européenne.

Monsieur le Ministre, cher Maxime, ce sera un grand plaisir pour moi de vous accueillir en Albanie à la première occasion. I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome, the generous hospitality, and the excellent discussions I had with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Maxime Prévot @prevotmaxime. 🇦🇱🇧🇪

Our meeting reaffirmed the excellent relations between #Albania and #Belgium, as well as our shared commitment to deepening political dialogue and further strengthening our bilateral partnership.

I particularly welcomed Belgium’s decision to open an #Embassy in #Tirana, a concrete and highly appreciated step that will give new momentum to our cooperation. We expressed our confidence that this important development will contribute to expanding economic ties, increasing trade and investment, promoting tourism, advancing cooperation in renewable energy, and creating new opportunities across a wide range of sectors.

Our discussions also focused on our close cooperation in the fields of justice and security, as well as on the broader security challenges facing Europe today. We exchanged views on regional developments and the importance of maintaining a strong and united #European response to current geopolitical challenges.

We highlighted the important contribution of the #Albanian community in Belgium, which serves as a valuable bridge between our two countries and plays a key role in strengthening people-to-people, cultural, and economic ties.

I expressed Albania’s deep appreciation for Belgium’s consistent support for #enlargement, our European integration process. Following the successful 8th Intergovernmental Conference, Albania has entered a decisive new phase of its EU accession journey, with a clear focus on delivering the remaining reforms, advancing negotiations, and moving steadily towards membership in the European Union.

Ons gesprek bevestigde opnieuw de uitstekende betrekkingen tussen #Albanië en #België, evenals onze gedeelde inzet om de politieke dialoog te verdiepen en ons bilateraal partnerschap verder te versterken.

Ik verwelkomde in het bijzonder de beslissing van België om een ambassade in Tirana te openen – een concrete en zeer gewaardeerde stap die onze samenwerking nieuwe dynamiek zal geven. Ik sprak mijn grote waardering uit voor de voortdurende Belgische steun aan het Europese integratieproces van Albanië. Na de succesvolle 8e Intergouvernementele Conferentie is Albanië een beslissende nieuwe fase van zijn toetredingsproces tot de Europese Unie ingegaan, met een duidelijke focus op het implementeren van de resterende hervormingen, het voortzetten van de onderhandelingen en het langzaam maar zeker dichterbij brengen van het EU-lidmaatschap.

Als navo-bondgenoten staan Albanië en België zij aan zij in hun steun aan Oekraïne, regionale stabiliteit en de verdediging van onze gedeelde democratische waarden en de internationale rechtsorde.

Beste minister, cher Maxime, het zal mij een groot genoegen zijn uw gastvrijheid te beantwoorden en u zo spoedig mogelijk in Albanië te mogen verwelkomen. 📍Brussels -- A moment to celebrate, a moment to cheer, a moment for "Gëzuar".

It was a great pleasure to welcome friends & colleagues from EU Member States and institutions to the #Mission of Albania to the EU in Brussels to celebrate, in keeping with a well-established tradition, a key milestone in Albania’s European journey: the successful outcome of the 8th #Intergovernmental Conference and the positive assessment reflected in the Interim Benchmark Assessment Report, #IBAR.

This achievement is the result of years of sustained effort, political commitment, and far-reaching reforms, often challenging, yet essential, undertaken with determination by the Albanian #Government & institutions. It reaffirms a fundamental principle of the enlargement process: progress is, and must remain, merit-based.

We were particularly pleased to celebrate with the Commissioner for Enlargement, our @MartaKosEU. Her engagement and unwavering commitment as well as that of her team, in Brussels and in Albania, to a credible enlargement process have been instrumental in maintaining momentum and strengthening confidence in the transformative power of the #European project.

We are fully aware that the positive IBAR outcome is both an encouragement and a responsibility. It recognizes how far #Albania has come, while setting the stage for the work that lies ahead. One thing is certain: Albania remains fully committed to advancing reforms, moving steadily toward the closure of negotiating chapters, and fulfilling the aspirations of generations of Albanians who see their future firmly anchored in the #EuropeanUnion.

Today's gathering was therefore not only a celebration of an important achievement, but also an opportunity to express our gratitude to all those who have accompanied and supported Albania along this path: the European Commission and other EU institutions, to all Member States for their understanding, support and encouragement, and all our friends who continue to believe in Albania and in the European future of the #WesternBalkans.

📍Belgium -- Pleased to engage in a substantive discussion on “EU Enlargement: An Albanian View” at the Egmont – Royal Institute for International Relations. 🇦🇱🇧🇪

Together with a distinguished group of experts, diplomats, policymakers, and think tank representatives, we exchanged views on EU enlargement as a geopolitical imperative and a strategic investment in #Europe’s future.

The discussion highlighted a growing recognition that the future of the #WesternBalkans is inseparable from the future of Europe itself. A stable, secure, democratic, and fully integrated Western Balkans is essential to Europe’s ability to remain geopolitically credible, strategically relevant, and resilient in an increasingly complex international environment.

In #Albania’s case, the EU accession process has proven to be the most powerful catalyst for transformation, driving institutional modernization, strengthening the rule of law, consolidating democratic governance, improving public administration, and advancing economic development. It has also reinforced Albania’s full alignment with the values, policies, and strategic objectives that define the European project.

I emphasized the importance of preserving a credible, predictable, and #merit-based enlargement process, one that rewards genuine reform efforts and delivers tangible progress for both candidate countries and the European Union.

Such exchanges are invaluable for fostering strategic dialogue, strengthening mutual understanding, and building the broad political and intellectual consensus needed to advance a stronger, more united, and more secure Europe. They are equally important in sustaining an open and informed conversation about the common future, helping to communicate the strategic value of enlargement and European integration both in the candidate countries and the Member States.

🇦🇱🇽🇰Në kuadër të vizitës në Kosovë, zhvillova një takim sa të veçantë aq edhe të përzemërt me përfaqësues të kontingjentit të Forcave të Armatosura të Republikës së #Shqipërisë që shërbejnë në kuadër të misionit të #KFOR-it.

I falënderova për kontributin e tyre të çmuar në përmbushjen e këtij misioni të rëndësishëm dhe i përgëzova për vlerësimet shumë pozitive që gëzojnë nga komanda e KFOR-it, si dëshmi e angazhimit, disiplinës, profesionalizmit dhe përkushtimit të tyre të përditshëm në shërbim të paqes dhe sigurisë.

Ushtarakët tanë përfaqësojnë denjësisht jo vetëm Forcat e Armatosura, por edhe Shqipërinë, vlerat tona euroatlantike dhe traditën e kontributit të vendit tonë në misionet ndërkombëtare të paqes.

Shpreha krenarinë dhe mirënjohjen time për shërbimin e tyre dinjitoz, për sakrificën që bëjnë larg familjeve dhe për përkushtimin me të cilin mbajnë lart flamurin kuqezi në një mision me rëndësi të veçantë për sigurinë dhe stabilitetin e Kosovës, të rajonit tonë dhe të gjithë hapësirës euroatlantike.

Kontributi i tyre është një dëshmi konkrete se Shqipëria mbetet e angazhuar jo vetëm për sigurinë e saj, por edhe për paqen, stabilitetin dhe të ardhmen e përbashkët të rajonit.

#Albania highly values the vital role that KFOR continues to play in preserving peace, security and stability in Kosovo. We commend all troop-contributing nations for their unwavering commitment, professionalism and dedication, which remain essential to the success of NATO’s mission and to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all communities in Kosovo.

KFOR has been instrumental in addressing security challenges, particularly the very disturbing and threatening acts in northern Kosovo, while fostering stability and supporting the conditions necessary for dialogue, institution-building and long-term peace. Albania is proud to contribute to KFOR with a significant contingent and remains firmly committed to the Alliance’s efforts in the region.

As a #NATO Ally, Albania will continue to support Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and its gradual alignment with Alliance standards and practices. A secure, stable and democratic Kosovo contributes directly to the security, resilience and prosperity of the entire Western Balkans.

Kosovo’s security remains inseparable from Albania’s national and regional security interests. Stability in Kosovo means stability in the region, and strengthening Kosovo’s institutions, resilience and international integration is an investment in lasting peace and security for all.

At the same time, while KFOR’s presence remains indispensable, the long-term security and stability of Kosovo will increasingly depend on the strength, professionalism and democratic accountability of its own institutions. Supporting the continued development of Kosovo’s security capacities, in close coordination with NATO and international partners, is therefore essential for a sustainable and secure future.

Shqipëria vlerëson lart rolin jetik që KFOR-i vazhdon të luajë në ruajtjen e paqes, sigurisë dhe stabilitetit në Kosovë. Ne përgëzojmë të gjitha vendet kontribuese me trupa për angazhimin e tyre të palëkundur, profesionalizmin dhe përkushtimin, të cilat mbeten thelbësore për suksesin e misionit të #NATO-s dhe për garantimin e një mjedisi të sigurt për të gjitha komunitetet në Kosovë.

📍Prishtinë -- Gjatë takimit me Nënkryetarin e #LDK, Lutfi Haziri, vlerësova kontributin historik të kësaj force në shtetndërtimin e Kosovës dhe orientimin e saj euroatlantik, në frymën e vizionit të #Presidentit, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. 🇦🇱🇽🇰

Kosova ndodhet në një moment të rëndësishëm politik dhe institucional, ku kërkohet përgjegjësi, maturi dhe bashkëpunim në funksion të interesit shtetëror dhe qytetar.

Rikonfirmova se Shqipëria do të vazhdojë të mbështsë #Kosovën në çdo proces të rëndësishëm shtetëror e kombëtar dhe inkurajova bashkëpunimin për formimin pa vonesa të institucioneve të reja të paszgjedhjeve. Kosova ka dëshmuar tashmë pjekuri të lartë demokratike, qëndrueshmëri institucionale dhe një potencial të padiskutushëm për zhvillim e progres.

Shpreha bindjen tonë se, përmes unitetit institucional, dialogut politik konstruktiv dhe koordinimit të ngushtë me miqtë dhe aleatët e saj strategjikë, ajo do të vazhdojë të ecë me vendosmëri drejt realizimit të aspiratës së natyrshme për integrim të plotë në familjen euroatlantike.

Konfirmuam edhe një herë se marrëdhëniet ndërmjet #Shqipërisë dhe #Kosovës mbeten një prioritet strategjik i përbashkët dhe një gur themeli i vizionit tonë për të ardhmen. Lidhjet tona të veçanta historike, kombëtare dhe njerëzore, si dhe aspiratat e përbashkëta për zhvillim, mirëqenie dhe integrim euroatlantik, përbëjnë udhërrëfyesin e bashkëpunimit tonë.

Bashkëpunimi i ngushtë mes dy vendeve mbështetet mbi një bazë të fortë institucionale, të konsoliduar përmes më shumë se 200 marrëveshjeve dhe instrumenteve të bashkëpunimit. Megjithatë, ky partneritet kërkon një fazë të re dinamizmi, koordinimi dhe zbatimi konkret. Në këtë frymë, ramë dakord të intensifikojmë përgatitjet për mbajtjen e mbledhjes së ardhshme të përbashkët të dy qeverive dhe të riaktivizojmë mekanizmat e koordinimit strategjik në të gjitha fushat me interes të përbashkët.

Ritheksova mbështetjen e palëkundur të Shqipërisë për avancimin e mëtejshëm të Kosovës në rrugën e integrimit evropian dhe euroatlantik. Theksova se dhënia e statusit të vendit kandidat për në BE përbën jo vetëm një mundësi konkrete për përshpejtimin e reformave, forcimin e institucioneve demokratike dhe afrimin me standardet evropiane, por edhe një mesazh të qartë politik për qytetarët e Kosovës se e ardhmja e tyre është në familjen evropiane.

Diskutuam gjithashtu mbi rëndësinë e vazhdimit të angazhimit konstruktiv në procesin e dialogut të ndërmjetësuar nga BE, në koordinim të ngushtë me partnerët tanë ndërkombëtarë. Një #marrëveshje gjithëpërfshirëse dhe ligjërisht detyruese, e bazuar në njohjen reciproke, mbetet rruga më e sigurt për paqen e qëndrueshme, stabilitetin rajonal dhe konsolidimin e pozicionit ndërkombëtar të Kosovës.

Vëmendje të veçantë i kushtuam edhe bashkëpunimit për mbështetjen e shqiptarëve në rajon, veçanërisht në Luginën e #Preshevës, si dhe forcimit të koordinimit të politikave për diasporën shqiptare, e cila përbën një aset të rëndësishëm kombëtar dhe një urë të çmuar lidhëse me botën.

Dy shtetet tona do të vazhdojnë punojnë me vizion të qartë strategjik, në koordinim të ngushtë politik dhe institucional, duke kontribuar bashkarisht për paqen, stabilitetin dhe begatinë e #BallkanitPerëndimor.

Analizuam ecurinë e marrëdhënieve dypalëshe dhe u ndalëm veçanërisht te nevoja për ndërmarrjen e hapave konkretë dhe praktikë për thellimin e mëtejshëm të bashkëpunimit mes dy vendeve tona. Vlerësuam se niveli i shkëlqyer i marrëdhënieve politike duhet të shoqërohet me rezultate edhe më të prekshme në fusha me interes të drejtpërdrejtë për qytetarët tanë.

Në këtë kuadër, theksuam nevojën për të çuar përpara projekte me rëndësi strategjike dhe kombëtare, duke filluar nga #Hekurudha Kuq e Zi dhe zhvillimi i korridoreve energjetike e të transportit, deri te forcimi i mëtejshëm i bashkëpunimit në arsim, kulturë, shkencë, siguri, mbrojtje dhe diplomaci.

Riafirmova mbështetjen e plotë dhe të gjithanshme të Shqipërisë për Republikën e #Kosovës në çdo aspekt që kontribuon në forcimin e demokracisë, shtetit të së drejtës, institucioneve dhe subjektivitetit të saj ndërkombëtar.

#Shqipëria do të vazhdojë të qëndrojë krah #Kosovës, me përkushtim, solidaritet dhe vizion afatgjatë, si në planin dypalësh ashtu edhe në arenën ndërkombëtare, duke mbështetur përpjekjet e saj për konsolidimin e mëtejshëm të shtetit në interesin e drejtpërdrejtë të të gjithë qytetarëve të saj, një investim i rëndësishëm për forcimin e stabilitetit, sigurisë dhe bashkëpunimit në mbarë rajonin e #BallkanitPerëndimor.

Bashkëndamë vlerësimin se marrëdhëniet mes Shqipërisë dhe Kosovës janë sot më të forta dhe më të konsoliduara se kurrë më parë, të mbështetura mbi partneritetin tonë strategjik, vizionin e përbashkët euroatlantik dhe lidhjet e pandashme mes dy vendeve tona.

Vlerësuam se mbledhjet e përbashkëta të Kuvendeve të Shqipërisë dhe Kosovës përfaqësojnë nivelin më të lartë të institucionalizimit të bashkëpunimit parlamentar ndërmjet dy shteteve tona. 📍Rome - Pleased to meet with Hon. @pierofassino, Vice-President of the Defense Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic as well as President of the Balkans Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the @coe, a friend of #Albania and the Albanian people, and an active and tireless supporter of the #European integration of the Western Balkans.

Albania’s progress in the EU accession process, our unwavering commitment to implementing ambitious reforms, the successful completion of the benchmarks that led to the approval of the #IBAR, and the work that lies ahead toward the closing negotiating chapters were at the heart of our very friendly and productive discussion today.

We also exchanged views on the pace and timelines of the #enlargement process, reaffirming the importance of maintaining the current momentum and to advance decisively toward our strategic objective of completing negotiations within this decade. This is not only a national priority, but also the fulfillment of the European aspiration that generations of Albanians have carried and worked for over many years.

We agreed that enlargement remains one of the European Union’s most successful strategic policies, capable of driving transformation, stability, and prosperity.

We also exchanged views on the current dynamics in the #WesternBalkans, underlining the importance of preserving regional stability, strengthening good-neighbourly relations, and advancing the European integration of the entire region. In an increasingly complex geopolitical environment, a secure, stable, and prosperous region is a strategic imperative for the security, unity, and credibility of #Europe as a whole.

We agreed that the renewed momentum behind EU enlargement represents a historic opportunity that should be seized by all countries of the region through reforms, dialogue, and enhanced regional cooperation. .

📍Rome -- Had an insightful and stimulating discussion today with Italian parliamentarians, senior diplomats, and representatives of leading Rome-based think tanks.

An excellent opportunity to exchange views on a range of issues, including the unique Albania–Italy Strategic #Partnership, Albania’s progress on its path toward EU membership, the renewed momentum of EU enlargement, and the broader geopolitical transformations reshaping Europe and the international order.

It was also another valuable occasion to express Albania’s profound gratitude for the unwavering support and friendship that #Italy has consistently extended to our country. For us, Italy embodies the very essence of a trusted friend and strategic partner: always present in moments of need, always standing alongside #Albania at critical junctures of our modern history, and always ready to support our aspirations for development, prosperity, and European integration. In particular, Italy’s steadfast support for Albania’s EU accession process remains of paramount importance, and one for which we are deeply grateful.

I emphasized that Albania’s progress in the accession negotiations is firmly merit-based. Every milestone achieved is the result of sustained political commitment, the successful implementation of reforms, and tangible progress in aligning with European policies, standards, and values.

The discussion also underscored a growing strategic consensus: the future of the #WesternBalkans is inseparable from the future of Europe itself. In today’s geopolitical environment, the region is not a peripheral concern but a vital component of Europe’s security, stability, and geopolitical credibility. Stronger regional connectivity, economic integration, reconciliation, and coordinated action on common challenges not only benefit the countries of the region, but also contribute to a stronger, more resilient, and more united Europe.

It is always important to engage with scholars and civil society to exchange views on issues of primary importance. Our future will certainly depend on our ability to understand, interpret, and guide the profound transformations of our time.

It was therefore a great pleasure to speak at #Bocconi University’s School of Management in Rome, with a particular focus on Albania–Italy relations and the European future of the #WesternBalkans.

#Albania today stands among the most pro-European countries and among those that have clearly understood that the secure path to Europe lies in advancing day by day through reforms, democratic consolidation, and a clear strategic vision. More democratic, more open, more self-confident, and more European than ever before, Albania represents a concrete example of how the #European perspective can transform societies and strengthen regional stability.

The success of this #enlargement wave by the 2030 is not only strategic for Albania and the Western Balkans, but also essential for the future strength, unity, and credibility of Europe itself. A successful European integration of the region would reaffirm the transformative power of the European project at a time of profound geopolitical change.

#Italy has unquestionably been part of this journey, through sustained support, investment, and cooperation programmes. Over time, and on these solid foundations, our relationship has evolved into a truly Strategic Partnership, reflecting the depth of our ties and our shared vision for #Europe’s future.

A stable, fully integrated, and prosperous Western Balkans is indispensable for strengthening Europe’s collective security, safeguarding democratic values, managing migration flows, enhancing energy resilience, and preventing geopolitical vacuums that external actors could exploit.
