This is a good reminder to keep drinking water. I definitely find myself drinking less water in colder months because I am not sweating or noticing that I'm thristy often. #beh353@beh353
Are you the type of person that dramatically reduces water consumption once the temps drop?
H20 intake is equally important when it’s cold outside.

@dylanle7830@beh353 I agree with the emphasis on explaining diets to patients. Giving them this clarification about being short term fixes can be helpful in discussing life changes that will help in the long term. #beh353@beh353
One aspect of nutrition I will use in my future profession is not being insensitive with comments. I will be sure to consider emotional and personal aspects, not just physical. Creating a comfortable space is important in patient care. #beh353@beh353
The food I was most looking forward to on Thanksgiving was mac and cheese. It's been one of my favorites every year. I don't have the exact recipe because I just made it based off the basics of a few different recipes. #beh353@beh353
Breakfast is the meal where I get the least creative; the meals can be repetitive. This list gave me some ways to get protein apart from just eggs. #beh353@beh353
Starting your day with adequate protein is a must.
Wondering how to get protein on your breakfast plate apart from eating an omelet every day? Here are 35 ways ➡️

@dylanle7830@beh353 Great article! I think being easy to read is the best type of article because there is less chance for confusion, and both parents and kids could read the article. The images also help with understanding and engagement. @beh353#beh353

I would provide this article. It is factual, yet concise, so parents and kids could read it. I think the color coding would also make it more interesting for the kid. It also gives parents a comprehensive list of snack ideas. #beh353@beh353
This is something I have been practicing recently. Apart from the benefits listed, I also feel like I am less likely to waste time in the morning if I am not sitting on my phone when I oculd be using that time to make a better breakfast. #beh353@beh353
Waking up and checking your phone first thing in the morning is a terrible habit.
You should avoid any and all screens within the first hour of waking. Why?
-Less anxiety
-More clarity and focus
-It allows your brain to naturally transition from sleep to alertness
Replace your phone habit with a walk, glass of water, prayer, devotional, exercise, journaling, writing, reading and making a healthy breakfast.
Go to bed earlier. Wake up earlier. You’ll get more out of life. 🙏
@halime_jahed@beh353 I think this is a great point. It is the priority to treat the individual rather than giving an individual very general treatment. #beh353@beh353
Understanding that people who struggle with their weight are still people is key. Things said by doctors in the reading are unacceptable and can be damaging. This can stop people from going to the doctor, as seen with the example of overweight women with cancers #beh353@beh353
This article stood out to me because in recent years I feel as though seed oils have been portrayed as this terrible thing that will cause inflammation and heart disease. This is one of the first times I have seen them being defended so I'll have to look further. #beh353@beh353
@TruongEthan5680@beh353 I agree with you Ethan. Education is one of the best ways that we can try to prevent obesity-whether it be educating on the risks of obesity or on how to live a healthy lifestyle. #beh353@beh353
One fact I didn't know is that children from lower income families have a higher rate of obesity than children from higher income families. This could be incorporated professionally by helping lower income families get access to and education on healthy eating. @beh353#beh353
Unlike organic, grass-fed is not a standard that is federally regulated. Therefore we have to look closer than just seeing those key words on the packaging. #beh353@beh353
@ArtieNutrition@beh353 I can relate to this. Breakfast is the meal I find myself making the least. I end up eating less healthy things in the morning because they aren't usually homemade. #beh353@beh353
One of the barriers I can relate to is the lack of time. Sometimes I just don't have the time to cook a healthy meal, so I have to settle for ordering something more unhealthy because of the convenience of it. I try my best to avoid it, but sometimes I can't. #beh353@beh353
After reading this, I saw that the best time to workout is whatever fits into your schedule better. This is interesting because I feel like even when I get enough sleep, morning workouts are never as good. It must be a matter of getting into the habit. #beh353@beh353
We know this is polarizing topic. When do you workout?
Mornings the only way to go? Or, never tie up my laces until the afternoon kinda person?
Here we break down what is actually better for you➡️

In this article, I read that creatine can actually help reduce the severity of injury or even prevent injuries as a whole. I only thought of the supplement as something that improves exercise performance and recovery. #beh353@beh353
