@Coach_Sanford2 Overthinking every touch kept them on their heels the entire game. If they committed to their game and hustled their hearts out- we might have pulled out an upset
I used to tune into these guys for political signal. Their blatant lack of objectivity turned me away a long time ago. This should be the straw that breaks the camels back for any remaining critical thinker in their audience.
Graham Platner isn’t just our best and only chance to beat Susan Collins, he’s a good, decent man who’s struggled and grown and is always trying to do better.
I hope everyone with reservations takes a little time to get to know the real life version of him, not what the algorithm throws in our faces. Clearly, that’s what so many people in Maine have done - from all different walks of life and political persuasions.
There have been 4 major revolutions in the past 250 years: American, French, Russian, and Chinese. Only one led to individual rights and prosperity. The others led to mass death and tyranny. The US revolution was unique because it said two things: 1. Our rights come from God not from the govt. 2. Humans are power -hungry so we need to limit govt power. So the next time someone attacks the nation of one revolution that succeeded and recycles the the idea of those that miserably failed, you can ask them: are you ignorant, or malicious?
I spoke with the owner of the Drip Cafe in Denver, Colorado where the Denver Communists "protest" on the first Friday of every month.
The cafe has been vandalized and harassed for years because they are Christians. The Communists hand out the anti-cafe flyers on the street to prevent customers from going inside with false claims that they are homophobic.
The cafe helps homeless people get jobs, get ID's, haircuts, and helps them get access to food and clothing, while teaching them Christians principals that help them get off the street and improve their lives.
What incentive do communists have to keep people homeless, on drugs and on the street?
They are incredibly friendly and welcoming at the cafe! Highly recommend people stop on by! 869 Santa Fe Dr, Denver, CO 80204
I was never taught America is great because it’s richer/bigger. I heard about the light bulb, airplanes, movies, the telephone, rock, jazz, basketball, the Internet, nuclear power, Ali-Frazier, Thoreau, King, Lincoln, Twain, Chandler, the Hoover Dam and the Fender Stratocaster…
'fewer of us are proud to be an American, but in the end that probably doesn't matter half as much as the reality that the United States is thriving and that individuals have a wide scope for living the lives they envision for themselves.' https://t.co/mVUDGCiVAP via @reason
The national income tax started as a 1% tax affecting less than 1% of all Americans.
That was in 1913.
Just over 100 years later, about 70% of Americans pay national income tax and many people pay 37% tax rate.
Important to remember as politicians talk about a new wealth tax.
California’s Property Seizure Act - called “The Billionaire Tax” to fool voters is now on the ballot. @HooverInst has a short 4min video breaking it down.

You should vote for this if you are comfortable handing over 5%, in cash, of all your tangible and intangible property every year. You should vote no if you don’t want to do that.
If it passes, the remaining Billionaires will sue. This will take a decade to meander through the courts and will find its way to the Supreme Court where the odds it survives are low.
But in that intervening decade, far fewer business builders will want to bet on California and will focus on building in other states.
This will drive a large loss of revenue that will make California’s budget hole even worse. The only solution there is more borrowing and higher taxes on EVERYONE including those that voted NO. This will particularly impact the middle class who are Californias largest revenue source.
The only path out of an avoidable budget spiral is a hard landing and structural reset. Sadly, a hard landing will mean a near-miss with California bankruptcy and, more punitively, a reset/retrade of state pensions with California lenders to not come collect.
If you aren’t sure or don’t believe me, vote YES and bookmark this post. A decade from now you can tell me I was wrong or give me the opportunity to lord over your stupidity, jealousy and gullibility for voting YES when I am proven right.
Not an accurate headline. The Court allowed states to ban biological males from women’s sports regardless of their gender identity. A biological girl would be welcome to play on a girls team even if she identified as a boy.
Nobody needs to rig a primary. There’s no conspiracy. Between 300,000–400,000 more Democratic primary ballots were cast yesterday in Colorado.
We are just massively outnumbered now. There’s no way to vote ourselves out of this.
@FreeStateColor1 I also know many center right, but unaffiliated, voters submitted a dem ballot to vote against the DSA/more extreme candidates. There weren’t enough tight races on the republican ballot (with exception of governor) to make the vote feel it counted.
