@DrSturg A few things I learned today: Television and radio is designed for women, not sure if I'm honored or offended; syndicated shows are sold to multiple stations; lastly, Arbitron does research for the radio, who knew people still listened!
@DrSturg A5: The growing need for messengers apps in America has been interesting every since @facebook separated its app from its messenger. Now FB is marketing their own messenger app. We need the app to message, so what are their goals for promotion? https://t.co/UChB6tpZBb
@DrSturg A4: I think that the pro is that Twitter is extremely public, therefore, it is easy to gather data. A con would be that measuring engagement is a bit unknown so you would have to be very specific on how you would analyze that data #SturgChat
@DrSturg A3: What I have told many employers while interviewing for jobs and internships is that having a media analytics degree is being able to bring together numbers and opinions to help create the human experience #SturgChat
@BwickelWickel @DrSturg@FiveThirtyEight has been a great source of data-driven information in regards to many major events happening everyday #SturgChat
@DrSturg A2: As a Strategic Communications and Media Analytics double major, I really enjoy getting information from @Adweek or @adage because much of that news on analytics is extremely relevant to the field I am entering #SturgChat
A key quality that analysts should be learning as a part of their profession is to understand, on a human level, what affects a company outside of the traditional numbers element that aligns with analytics #SturgChat
@leaah_kaay@DrSturg I agree, I think clients are often very attached to their own company's information and miss elements that can be found by an outside source such as an analyst #SturgChat
@DrSturg I believe it matters because often information is hidden in-between numbers related to expertise and employees that needs to be discovered. That ability is what separates a good analyst from a great one #SturgChat
