CHINA JUST DREW A LINE ON AI

A court in China has ruled it ILLEGAL to replace human workers with AI purely to cut costs.

They have put responsibility back on corporations.

They can’t automate just to boost margins while workers are pushed out.

China has decided that wages, fairness, and employment aren’t optional.

And that’s a big shift.

While the west races to replace labour as fast as possible, viewing AI as a free-for-all… China has set a precedent that profit alone isn’t enough and corporations must answer to society.

We've covered Oracle extensively since they first hit our tracker on March 10th. 30,000 Americans fired. That alone would be enough.

But Oracle also filed over 3,100 H-1B visa petitions while those layoffs were happening. Fire the domestic workforce, bring in foreign labor at lower wages. And they don't even do the hiring directly. They run it through outsourcing middlemen like Cognizant, TCS, and Infosys, companies that filed over 25,000 H-1B petitions of their own last year, many of them placing workers at companies exactly like Oracle.

So you fire the Americans. You outsource the jobs through body shops. You pay less. And then Larry Ellison goes on camera and says this:

"The code that Oracle is writing, Oracle isn't writing. Our AI models are writing."

Three layers of replacement. American workers gone. Foreign workers through body shops. And now AI writing the code so eventually nobody has a job.

Larry keeps the margin and everyone else gets the door.
