@hannahmakes The energy use is not fixed though, it's unbounded. The more valuable the stuff being transacted is the more energy has to be spent to disincentivise 51% attacks.

And what's the point? All effects of "ownership" are ultimately enforced by state power which is centralised anyway.

@KordingLab Focus on completely modelling small systems (c. elegans & up), to the point where simulated behaviour is indistinguishable from real-world one, before spending too much effort on trying to understand big ones.

But that's just the physicist in me talking, idk really.
