In case you missed it: XAO DAO is now voting on whether to put 80% of its XRP treasury to work through FXRP and Firelight.
That is a significant event imo.
A key XRP-focused DAO is considering using Flare to make its treasury programmable: XRP becomes FXRP through FAssets, then can provide cover capital through Firelight while keeping XRP exposure.
Exciting times.
In 7 days, Firelight brings a verifiable protection layer to DeFi: transparent terms for defined protocol failures, with capital you can verify on-chain.
Early protocol emissions will follow shortly after launch.
Four months after FIP.16, you can watch the $FLR redesign in one place.
@DefiLlama just listed a @defillama_res-vetted investor relations dashboard for Flare. Issuance, burns, staking, and protocol fees routing to FIRE toward burns and buybacks.
Good work all, I particularly like AgentVault (@agentvault_flr): https://t.co/lAX01wyZaY
It's simple but a much needed safeguard, setting spending limits for your agents, securly of course
The results are in. ☀️
Meet the Flare Summer Signal winners.
Interoperable Asset Products
🥇 Remnara Confidential Payouts · $4,000
XRPL inheritance payouts where Flare Confidential Compute signs only after on-chain release conditions are met.

🥈 Astryum · $2,000
An XRP-first DeFi interface combining Flare Smart Accounts, FAssets and FTSO to simplify access to Flare DeFi.

Confidential Compute Apps
🥇 AgentVault · $4,000
Policy-controlled x402 payments where Flare Confidential Compute privately evaluates spending rules and signs only approved agent payments.

🥈 UMBRA · $2,000
A private FAssets dark pool using zero-knowledge proofs and on-chain encryption to hide sensitive trading data while keeping settlement verifiable.

Four very different products, built around the same idea: expanding what developers can make possible with XRP, interoperable assets and confidential compute on Flare.
Congratulations to all four teams. 🔥
Thought this was a pretty cool project from Flare’s recent hackathon. It puts so many of Flare’s core protocols to work:

- FTSOv2 for oracle pricing
- Flare Confidential Compute (FCC)
- FDC (Web2Json) for attesting external data
- FAssets (FXRP)
TAPE tracks crypto trading influencers’ predictions, verifies them, and holds them accountable. Their full record is attested and recorded on-chain using Flare’s infrastructure, so deleted or edited calls can’t disappear. With all the garbage, low-quality, clickbaity information flooding X and the rest of the internet, it’s exhausting trying to find anything meaningful and trustworthy. This is one practical way to cut through the noise, and I suspect we’ll see a lot more of this kind of verifiable information brought on-chain in the future, powered by Flare.
Flare staking has gone from roughly 11B to 20B FLR since FIP.16 was announced.
That’s an 82% increase!
And the new staking economics have barely had time to play out.
The 5x weighting of P-Chain staking only went live with the July 20 reward epoch.
We’re roughly one month into that change and already approaching a quarter of circulating FLR being staked.
I'm doing a session on Aug 19 about building paid AI APIs with x402 and @FlareNetworks Confidential Compute — how to charge for API calls while keeping them private.

Staking has been climbing fast since FIP.16 passed.
16B+ FLR staked in July. Through 19B now. 20B is the next mark.
The shift: staking is now 42% of all staked-or-delegated FLR.
More locked supply means more stable validator economics — by design.

This is something we have been working towards for a while.
A lending market for RLUSD collateralised by FXRP, curated by one of the most trusted institutional curators in the industry @SentoraHQ.
This opens the door for much larger FXRP lending markets and for institutions that holds Billions of XRP to participate.
Good for XRP.
Good for RLUSD.
Good for Flare.
ProofRails's product will definitely expand the use case for AI agents in general. As the machines start to automate more and more tasks for us, they will need pathways to get verified, accurate data, to complete those tasks that can also be auditable.
The simple example would be a payment receipt for a product or service, but as tasks get more complex and rich, agents will need to access multiple APIs to chain their results together in order to produce the best expected outcome for you. In doing so, ProofRails enables the end user an auditable trail so they can understand the total cost of each task.
ProofRails is launching a Flare mainnet beta for paid APIs and AI agents.
An x402 payment can now return more than access to an API result: it can automatically produce a receipt linking the settlement to what was delivered, with finance-readable artifacts, signed evidence and a verifiable onchain commitment.
The hosted beta currently powers ProofRails’ own payment-gated APIs. API owners selling premium data or actions to software and AI agents can adopt the same workflow through a scoped integration or self-hosted deployment, accepting payments in USD₮0 while generating records that machines and humans can operate on.
Within this flow, Flare does more than record the payment. The same network also carries the public commitment to the evidence linking that payment to what was delivered.
Developers can test the x402 client flow, add this workflow to an existing API business, or start a new self-hosted service here: https://t.co/Amh9y1ygVh
The market sucks. It’s not going to suck forever. I try not to navel gaze.
I spend 60% of my time thinking about what comes next and 40% of my time helping the team execute on existing plans.
Unlike a lot of projects that have blown through their capital and are shutting their doors, Flare remains well capitalised.
We have had massive success with FXRP (biggest XRP usage by a factor of 5-6) in the worst possible market - I expect usage and TVL to increase markedly as certain things come onstream - aided by a market recovery.
I want to do the same with FBTC.
Then there are killer apps for the whole space that CAN ONLY really be enabled by the FCC in conjunction with the rest of Flare’s product suite.
Lastly we will see Flare start to be used more widely for crosschain data.
Every inch we move forward will raise Flare’s profile and everything feeds revenue into FIRE.
