Half of it sounded crazy at the time, and we did it anyway. The next one is here: building enough power for an era of AI, advanced manufacturing, and everything that runs on electricity. That'll take the same nerve.
We dug canals people swore couldn't be dug, laid rail across the entire country, ran power lines out to farms the utilities didn't think were worth it. Then we built the infrastructure that turned into the internet.
In a room full of Bitcoin builders, the idea that energy, like information, should be as open as the internet.

Last week in San Francisco, we gathered a room of builders around the first edition of ATLAS for a conversation on why it’s so hard to build in America.
The overarching theme was that every critical system eventually opens up and moves to the edge. Compute went from whole-room supercomputers to the phone in your pocket, telecom went from one monopoly to a whole ecosystem, the room made the case that it’s energy’s time now.

Bitcoin miners have spent years hunting for underutilized power and flexible load. The real bottleneck is still the grid itself.
