📱 I’ve been campaigning for stronger protections for children online for many years, so I was pleased to hear the Secretary of State for @SciTechgovuk, @leicesterliz Liz Kendall MP, recognise that work in Parliament yesterday. 👇

It’s a campaign win.
A huge well done to @TraceyHansonLdn after 7 years of relentless campaigning to improve awareness of the ULS scheme and end the 28-day ticking clock to appeal.
A significant, long-overdue change that will make a real difference for victims and families.

📢 “We are calling for robust cross-sector collaboration, better data, and equitable care to ensure women and girls in the UK are protected from FGM and adequately supported.”
If the ambition is to halve #VAWG, FGM must not be left behind.

#EndFGM
To better understand current levels of awareness and the lived realities surrounding FGM, we conducted and FGM National Survey.
🚨The findings revealed shocking insights, that have prompted us to reopen FGM Survey!

International Women’s Month serves to remind that no survivor of violence and abuse should be left behind.
Refugees and asylum seekers are often fleeing violence and persecution abroad and are survivors too.
🚨 1 in 5 people do not know about FGM Protection Orders.
FGM Protection Orders are a vital legal safeguard designed to protect women and girls at risk of Female Genital Mutilation.
No one should suffer in silence. Awareness can save lives.
#ZeroTolerancetoFGM
This IWD we honour the strength & resilience of the Black women & girls we support who are rebuilding their lives after domestic abuse & harmful practices.
When support is by and for our communities, healing and change become possible🪷
Give to Gain stronger communities ✊🏾
We’re delighted that our Service Manager Bukky has been recently elected Co-Chair of the @royal_greenwich VAWG Forum 🙌🏾
An important opportunity to ensure “by and for” organisations are heard and to grow and strengthen the borough’s response to VAWG and harmful practices ✊🏾🌱
My mission was always to give survivors a voice. I told my story -Damaged-so others could come forward — and they did. Justice has begun, but it is not over. Those who turned a blind eye will face the courts.
It’s been a full start to the year already 💫
We’ll be pausing some activities over half term next week to rest and reset, but our free drop-in is still running Monday at our hub in @Royal_Greenwich
If you need support/just a safe space to talk — come through. We’re Here 💛
Online violence doesn't leave physical bruises, but it does cause mental scars.
It’s a continuation of offline abuse; amplified by anonymity and reach.
Millions of women, girls, and adolescents face harassment, stalking, and threats in digital spaces meant for connection.
Let’s change that
🔒 Block and report abuse
🗣️ Speak up and support survivors
🫶 Post with empathy and respect
Violence has no place: online or offline.
#EndViolence #NoExcuse
Earlier this month, our #DestinyCreators reflected on how far they’ve come since starting last summer. 1 shared that learning to be intentional with her goals helped her recognise everything she’s achieved — a powerful reminder of her growth & belief in herself
