#BRT is a proving to be a curse for the #Pune & #PCMC traffic. All kind of vehicles moving through the BRT route, defeating the purpose. Considering #PuneMetro expansion, do we really need dedicated BRT routes? New development structures are also being built considering BRT which will prove to be expensive in near future. At some squares it's absolute chaos. Authorities should consider if Pune and PCMC really need BRT.

While pedestrian safety is important, the oversized footpaths on many roads are severely narrowing driving lanes. Combined with roadside parking, this is causing massive traffic jams. The "Smart City" design should balance pedestrians and commuters. In many areas of #Pune and #PCMC, footpaths are wider than the roads, leading to heavy congestion. Large seating structures and oversized walkways are eating into Pune & PCMC's main roads, causing daily gridlock. Please consider optimizing road width to ensure smooth vehicle movement for all citizens. #PuneTraffic #SmartCityPune @narendramodi @nitin_gadkari @Dev_Fadnavis @mieknathshinde @SmartPune

Finding the right balance in our urban spaces is a real challenge. Between managing road widths to ease traffic, fixing persistent potholes, and addressing the safety concerns around stray animals in our neighborhoods, there’s a lot of work to be done.

Do we really need footpaths as wide as the road itself?
​As a daily commuter, the shrinking road space is causing massive jams. Wide footpaths + Parking = No space for movement.
