@rickyfm I think there are valid use cases, but agree it's annoying. I just changed Expensify's because:

1. We have to lock node versions down due to internal controls
2. Issues with npm install on GitHub runners and are trying to fix with the latest

.nvmrc makes it easy to auto-switch
