I'm joining @libertyhq in opposing the current use of facial recognition in the UK. We need safeguards to ensure the use is regulated! https://t.co/tjPTCaTojo

Everyone should watch this speech.
"The irony of accepting an award for covering a genocide in the very country that enables that genocide should not be lost."
AJ Faultlines documentary, Kids Under Fire, won "Outstanding War or Violence Conflict Coverage" at the 2026 News #Emmys in New York City yesterday.
Josh Rushing dedicated the award to journalists killed by Israeli forces.
The Israeli military is once again escalating its unlawful use of mass “evacuation” orders despite the so-called ceasefire, displacing civilians across southern Lebanon.
On 26-27 May 2026, the Israeli military ordered all residents of the densely populated southern cities of Nabatieh - home to around 90,000 people - and Sour city and surrounding areas - home to more than 200,000 people - to leave. This was followed by a video ordering all residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate north of the Zahrani river, stating that the Israeli military considers all areas south of the river “combat zones”.
The sweeping orders - issued during Eid al-Adha - spread fear and panic, forcing people to flee their homes instead of celebrating with loved ones.
Israel’s mass "evacuation" orders have already uprooted hundreds of thousands. People in Lebanon must be able to live their lives without fearing they will be displaced yet again at a moment’s notice.
Following harrowing testimony from French nationals detained by Israel, France has now referred reports of sexual violence, beatings and humiliation against Global Sumud Flotilla activists to prosecutors.
On 21 May, I wrote to the Foreign Secretary demanding urgent action over the interception of the flotilla in international waters, and the detention and degrading treatment of humanitarian volunteers, including British citizens.
France is acting. Spain is showing leadership. Where is the UK government? Nothing but a simp for Israel, a genocidal apartheid state.
Pakistan: Dad Shah was forcibly disappeared from his home in Karachi, Sindh, on 21 April by state officials allegedly belonging to the Counter Terrorism Department. Since then, his family has received no information about his whereabouts.
When his mother and sister tried to speak out, they were harassed and detained by the local police. His family believes he is being targeted in connection with his sister’s human rights activism.
📢 Authorities must immediately reveal his fate and whereabouts, ensure his safety, and end all reprisals against his family.

This week, Amnesty International Zimbabwe conducted comprehensive training on trial observation. The training brought together 23 Amnesty International activists who will conduct trial observations to promote and ensure the protection and realisation of fair trial rights.
The workshop featured expert facilitation from human rights lawyers Paidamoyo Bryne Saurombe and Lucy Chivasa. They led interactive sessions on international fair trial norms and standards, as well as fundamental trial observation principles, including impartiality, non-interference, and informed observation.

Following global campaigning, Iranian authorities suspended implementation of Narges Mohammadi’s unjust decades-long prison sentence for her human rights activities for one month on medical grounds. She has been released her on bail but is now in intensive care in a Tehran hospital, following the abuses she suffered.
Authorities recklessly put Narges Mohammadi's life at risk by subjecting her to torture or other ill-treatment by deliberately denying her timely & adequate specialized healthcare.
@amnesty reiterates its call for Narges Mohammadi’s unconditional release.
