I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. 

I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.

Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.

@FuzzyDugganSC Not a huge story. He got killed as per his wishes, his soul was caught in a soulstone, and then it was used to create a golem.

Now, unlike MOST inhabitants of Generica, he had the option to nope out of the soulstone and respawn at any time he wanted. But this was all planned.

@tr_wong My theory for indies is that it's discouragement that shuts a lot of them down. Which is a pity, because persistence and practice tends to win out in the end. Fire enough shots, and you'll hit the target again...

@tr_wong Hard to say. In trad pub, a lot of that's because the publishers hate taking risks, and an underperforming series can reduce your chances of getting a new series out there or get you dropped entirely.
