Vibe train an AI model is something people want?

Built monostate's first consumer product in the @dedaluslabs YC hackathon, 24hours to ship something and now have to figure out if this is something people would like to use?

Why this is useful? A lot of founders want to make AI niche products, make profit and build value beyond wrappers. And also, my intuition is that training small LLMs without code will enable researchers of all fields to tap into scientific discovery.

@paulg Applied multiple times to yc in the past few batches within this assumption but did not get well received, presented at a hackathon there and raised angel etc. my understanding is that sometimes yc is waiting to see how things turns out, but it shouldn’t really be that way

@antirez For anyone that have ever done any ML or model training, this html discussion is very dumb. if they sold it like hey now our model context window is fine to chew thousands of useless tokens to represent marking tags so you can see it pretty and send to your friends, then ok

I don’t think it’s a matter of chat not being the right UI or people not knowing how to use it, but the information / knowledge graph / tools that this chatbot might have. I’ve done some custom model training for hotel booking and it’s very hard to solve because of the endless variations of user language and high expectations, but a very good starting point is this paper from booking where they correctly assume that people want to query images and subtle things that they would ask humans but are not written in the ad. I’m sure Airbnb already tried image embeddings and I would love to use that as a customer to find more suitable places faster.
