I’m deeply saddened by the confirmation of the deaths of Ariel and Kfir Bibas in Gaza and call for the urgent return of their mother and all hostages held in Gaza.
On behalf of UNICEF, I offer my heartfelt condolences to their loved ones.👇 https://t.co/m6dbMEampo
We're pleased that @Keir_Starmer is using improving living standards as a key metric of the government's success.
But this won't be achieved without a decent social security system that works for everyone. A date must be urgently set for the UC review.

BREAKING: We're delighted that the DWP was ordered to hand over key documents to our client in this hearing last week.
@EllenClifford1 will be in court on 10/11 Dec to challenge a consultation that was a "smokescreen for cuts" to disability benefits

Our social security system should provide us with #SecurityNotSanctions when we turn to it for support. Choosing further poverty & hardship for seriously ill and disabled people is cruel and short-sighted. #Budget
We're extremely disappointed that @RachelReevesMP has confirmed in the #AutumnBudget the government will go ahead with cruel plans to reform the work capability assessment.
Over 400,000 seriously ill and disabled will lose out on £416 a month and face the threat of sanctions.
What do we want to see announced in the Autumn Budget tomorrow?
Cruel planned WCA changes dropped, the two child limit scrapped, a minimum income floor introduced which people's UC cannot fall below, and LHA permanently unfrozen.

More people than ever before are fleeing their homeland in search of safety. But where are they fleeing from?
This animation, made with @f_l_o_u_r_i_s_h, tells the story of the last 50 years.
We're very concerned by this morning's reports suggesting that the government will proceed with cuts to disability benefits. While the details are still to be set out, cuts of that scale will plunge disabled people even deeper into poverty and further from the labour market.
It's great to see @resfoundation join the chorus of voices calling for government to rethink the previous government's cruel and dangerous plans to tighten the #WorkCapabilityAssessment.
Disabled people need security and support, not cuts and sanctions.

We are on the verge of an all-out war in Lebanon – with already devastating consequences.
But there is still time to stop.
The sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries must be respected.
More than 9 million people in the UK experience such extreme poverty that they are vulnerable to needing food banks, reports @patrickjbutler.
9 million people. I wonder when exactly the political class decided this was somehow normal. https://t.co/mYY1RuwaJS
More than 10,000 children have been pulled into poverty by the two-child limit since the election.
The government should scrap it at the Budget #AllKidsCount
The UK’s Statutory Sick Pay system is one of the least generous in the OECD.
Before accounting for waiting days, the current weekly rate of Statutory Sick Pay is equivalent to 16 per cent of median weekly earnings among full-time workers.
