@AdjacentNode I tell people that BGP is what the internet is built on, with the big caveat that due to this it is built to prioritize stability of routing tables, not speed of convergence. If you have to run BGP internally for whatever reason, BFD is great for improving convergence

@AdjacentNode I've had to force myself to instead call them optics or transceivers for a while now because of this. Well, this and I started my career working around long time network guys who called everything a GBIC, at least calling everything an SFP is slightly more accurate 😂

@TheKnitHick @UK_Daniel_Card And the reason for that is because since Excel doesn't recognize the IP address formatting it already considers it text, if you could add a custom format to Excel (or if they'd just add it, it's been an eternity) it might recognize it more explicitly but yeah it just sees text

@Naaackers I don't have any idea how Discord works from the admin side so ignore me if the idea is stupid. I would assume (again, IT background) that you'd be able to set more criteria for the pruning aside from just strictly last activity date, so the role idea makes logical sense to me

@Naaackers Long shot here but thinking from the perspective of having to "fake" an email address belonging to a former employee, is there any way you could obtain enough control of the account to make it "active" enough to avoid the prune?
