it's fucking hilarious to me that a seemingly innocuous iOS update - allowing users to do a single-click opt in or out of data collection/tracking/analysis by apps - single-handedly torpedoed $10 billion and counting in Facebook's ad revenue

@vfsglobalcare Our passports were left with the security guard upon delivery!!! - no email/message/call about delivery happening today. I'm going to take this up very seriously. You guys didn't allow me to pick up the passport and forced me sign up for delivery. Then this! Insane
It would be weird if I could flip through a phone and watch videos of my parents at any given month of their lives. But today's kids can almost do that, and tomorrow's will fully. They'll know younger versions of their parents (and grandparents) better than anyone in the past.
How to pay someone with the exact change:
1. Count it yourself, out loud, in front of them
2. Hand over what you know for sure is the exact amount and say “I think that’s right”
3. Wait for permission to leave
