Another amazing experience has ended up at @fgcu Vester Marine Field Station.
Thank you @SiCreerProf and @Kirthanapillay for giving me such a great opportunity to be part of your amazing project, looking at the Floridian #mangrove habitat!
Bee orchids have taken residence outside the ECW, Bangor! They look & smell like a female bee, luring in males to mate with the flower, allowing for pollination. These bees are not found in the UK, and so they reproduce asexually! #WorldEnvironmentDay#BangorUniversity#BeeOrchid
In other news, @IsabelleWinder and I have created a new degree at Bangor! If you know any primate-obsessed or even mildly primate-curious university applicants, send them this way.
Good luck James, I hope you love Copenhagen! Thank you for all of your help with #ScienceStuff and all of our #CatChats sorry I didn't see you today to wave goodbye π¨βπ¬π±π @clydeandforth1
If you are not completely fed up with hearing about salmon kypes (impossible, I hear you say!), then you can now listen to an interview I gave yesterday on BBC Radio Wales' 'Good Evening Wales' programme. https://t.co/P48FzaR8Sm #AtlanticSalmon#SexualSelection#BangorUniversity
A great write up and summary from @BangorUniPress about our recent paper on sexually selected traits in farmed Atlantic salmon! Entitled 'not so sexy salmon'. A small glimpse of some of the exciting research going on at @BangorUni https://t.co/wxrJ5GLsuD #PhDChat#FishSci#Salmon
