Interesting to read this article after today's #SI401. The minister for education is taking on recommendations from a report from #ncse. They believe segregating pupils into special classes & special schools is in breach of UN Conventions.

I agree with @23_niamh reflection on today's lesson. I think that as student teacher's we can sometimes find it difficult to stray from our lesson plan and the learning activities we have planned. However it is imperative we put student understanding first ! #si401 @fiona_king_

Following today's discussions, I am more aware of how we should value understanding rather than coverage. It is important to make decisions in regards to revising or spending time on a topic to ensure the child can grasp the content, instead of racing through a lesson. #si401
