BREAKING: Todd Blanche says the Trump administration will stop allowing abortion pills to be distributed through the mail, signaling a reversal of the federal government's mail-order abortion policy.
One of my favorite quotes from Ronald Reagan:
“Sometimes when I'm faced with an unbeliever, an atheist, I am tempted to invite him to the greatest gourmet dinner that one could ever serve and, when we finished eating that magnificent dinner, to ask him if he believes there's a cook.” 🔥
US President Donald Trump issued a statement saying he and Melania are joining in prayer with the Catholic bishops as they consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus today
This lady is driving down a stretch of road on St. Louis St. in Springfield, Missouri.
She is driving exactly 30
Mph and as she does so the rumble strips create the melody of “America The Beautiful”. This just opened up recently.
The song was chosen as a tribute to America’s open road, the spirit of Route 66 and the upcoming celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary. ❤️🇺🇸
I think that is too cool. Love when towns and cities are patriotic. 💯
Never knew this existed or was a thing. I’ve heard there are other roads in our beautiful country that have other songs as well.
Did you know this existed? Have you ever driven on a road where the rumble strips play a song before? Isn’t that cool?
A cutting reflection from Cardinal Ratzinger, Good Friday 2005:
"Pilate is not utterly evil. He knows that the condemned man is innocent, and he looks for a way to free him. But his heart is divided. And in the end he lets his own position, his own self-interest, prevail over what is right.
Nor are the men who are shouting and demanding the death of Jesus utterly evil. Many of them, on the day of Pentecost, will feel "cut to the heart," when Peter will say to them: "Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God... you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law."
But at that moment they are caught up in the crowd. They are shouting because everyone else is shouting, and they are shouting the same thing that everyone else is shouting. And in this way, justice is trampled underfoot by weakness, cowardice and fear of the diktat of the ruling mindset. The quiet voice of conscience is drowned out by the cries of the crowd.
Evil draws its power from indecision and concern for what other people think."
Why Easter bunnies 🐇and Easter eggs 🥚?
It's not pagan, but based on Lenten fasting. 👇🏻
Catholics didn't eat meat for 46 days of Lent and poor people often ate rabbit as their first meat on Easter Sunday (poor people could often only afford rabbit - not beef).
Why Easter eggs? 🥚
Catholics didn't eat eggs for 46 days of Lent and often broke their fast with eggs as instant protein. People decorated eggs and gave them as gifts.
Rabbits and eggs signify the end of fasting. Share this tweet and end the “Easter is pagan” conspiracy.
Husker fans have not only over taken Oklahoma City’s hotels, bars and restaurants, they also just overtook St. Joseph’s Old Cathedral for 4 pm mass. The priest couldn’t believe how much red was there. The church sat 700 people and was 85 percent Husker fans.
Right. I've said this for years. All doctors around the world knew 100 yrs ago that medical problems other than from trauma are always, virtually 100% of the time, parasites. They stopped teaching regular deworming for people and everyone just acted like we don't get them, but every other animal everywhere, does. Boom. Western medicine hijacked every person to become a life-long chronically-sick yacht-payment source. There's a special place in hell for the medical mafia.
My kid's school just sent an email about their "1:1 device program."
Every student gets an iPad. The school is very excited about "technology-enhanced learning."
The iPad costs $800. Paid by parents. Plus $200/year for "device insurance and management."
I asked what happens if we don't want to buy the iPad. They said it's mandatory for the curriculum.
So it's a $1,000 textbook that plays games and breaks when you drop it.
I asked what software they're using that requires an iPad specifically. Teacher said "various educational apps."
I asked which ones. She sent me a list. I looked them up. They all have web versions that work on any device.
So they don't need iPads. They want iPads. And they're making parents pay for it.
But I can't be the parent who fights the iPad program because then I'm the asshole who doesn't support education technology.
So I'm writing a $1,000 check for an iPad my kid will use to watch YouTube during class.
The school gets to say they're "innovative." Apple gets to sell 500 iPads. Parents get to fund it.
And in three years they'll switch to Chromebooks and we'll do this again.
“Delayed gratification was taught to us by the stoics. It is one of the greatest attributes.”
Another all-time line from Fernando Mendoza—this one on Stoicism 🤣👏
