John Keefe of @eurotunnel must exist on the other side of the miserable reality suffered by thousands of his fare paying passengers last night who were deprived of sleep, water and toilet facilities for NINE hrs. Some of that on #m20 but 6 hrs was the slip road to #eurotunnel.

He blames it on immigration (took 1 hr max), the facility being designed for borderless travel (hardly a surprise you couldn’t prepare for or put your pax rather than shareholders 1st and take fewer bookings). And get better liaison with @KentPoliceRoads to manage incidents

@LeShuttle The delays are NOTHING to do with the motorway accidents. Do not believe @LeShuttle lies. The delays are due to incompetence at Eurotunnel with queues of thousands of cars backing on to the M20. Shame on you @LeShuttle for peddling lies and misinformation.

@LeShuttle #M20 #eurotunnel = hell on earth tonight. Where are @kentpolice other than a gang of them chatting on the roundabout before directly traffic down to a hideous stationary Q 3 miles from tunnel. Another 2 hours and moved about 0.5 mile. Adults needed to manage this situation
