@SmithyJ1a@forallcurious No, it could not. There is absolutely no possibility of the universe or the earth being 6K. If you're just going to draw whatever conclusions you like, stop pretending to care about science.
@MladenZdero @PhysInHistory Reality, which you assume to be contingent without any real reason, does not point to anything. Nor does order. There are no meaningful differences in predictions between a mind being fundamental or something else being fundamental.
@LuisRei50745731@PhysInHistory Modern physics does not say anything about a beginning to the universe. That's a common and mistaken view of the Big Bang Theory.
"Basic causality" assumes a temporal relatjonship so it's not at all obvious that it's even possible there could be a cause to time and space.
@NathanButt57268@PhysInHistory I don't think Dirac is making a scientific claim here; science isn't in the business of proofs.
Keep in mind that there are likely far more people who attempted to prove God did existed and ultimately became non-believers.
@supershutters@DavidJHarrisJr You should probably 'reckon' that they care more about ad revenue than anything else, because that's the only thing underlying this decision.
@DavidJHarrisJr Schools cannot diagnose anyone with anything. I didn't get diagnosed until I was 35. I was able to sit still and get good grades. That does not mean someone doesn't have ADHD. And this anti-science attitude is only going to hurt these kids in the long run.
@DavidJHarrisJr Truly amazing how you'll believe literally anything as long as it reinforces your nonsensical worldview.
Milankovitch cycles have absolutely nothing to do with our current warming trend. NASA never claimed they did.
@CarnAtheist @RickTheV1@JEverettLearned They wouldn't, you potato. With instant access to all of the world's information, a reasonable person would just look it up.
Actually, a reasonable person could use context clues and realize that whatever the law is, it has nothing to do with locking people up for eating meat.
@zerodesignation@LayahHeilpern Going to be? 40% of trans people have attempted suicide. Do you know what we see when we compares those who have had surgery to those who havent? A 44% drop in suicide ideation. You're literally claiming the opposite of what the science says.
