Yesterday, I called out Rahul Gandhi over the way protesters were beaten in Jharkhand. I even called him a hypocrite. But moments later, he held a press conference and posted on X, openly criticising the action against the protesters.
By doing so, Rahul stood against a state government led by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, where Congress is an alliance partner. That is rare in Indian politics. How often do we see an ally publicly call out its own coalition government?
This is what, to me, gives Rahul Gandhi his moral clarity. He has shown it time and again.
The BJP is now protesting against Rahul in Parliament and demanding that he apologise for the Jharkhand incident. They want Rahul to take accountability, even though he is not the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. His party is merely an alliance partner in the state.
Yet where is the accountability from Narendra Modi or Amit Shah for the brutal crackdown on students during the Delhi protest on July 28?
On one side, you have Rahul Gandhi publicly criticising an ally’s government when he believes it has acted wrongly. On the other, you have a Prime Minister who expects protesters to apologise to him because some of them used abusive language against him.
That is the difference.
Today, on #NationalIndieDogDay, I’m reminded of something beautiful: it’s not just Indians who love our Indies. Visitors from around the world see what we sometimes take for granted. 🐾❤️
“Very much a part of the spiritual experience.”
“Protected us while at the beach.”
“Bring life & good energy to the place.”
Our Indies are not a nuisance to be removed. They are part of the character, warmth and soul of India.
Perhaps it's time we saw them through the eyes of those who visit us. 🇮🇳🐕
This is Incredible India. And our Indies are part of it. ❤️

🎬 Ohh My Dog is a fun, engaging, fast-paced crime mystery thriller, powered by wonderful performances, crisp editing and beautiful writing.
And for dog and animal lovers, I think this one will hit a little differently. ❤️🐾
A beautiful story about the bond we share with our most loyal companions, wrapped in an entertaining thriller.
Solid recommendation from me. Definitely worth a watch! 🐶❤️

A bunch of dog hating scumbags have written this headline right ? You're responsible for increasing cruelty towards animals. U dirt bags.
Filthy greedy humans want to wipe out even the most innocent animal species just like they have done to endangered species and forests
The future of India's Indie Dogs should not be decided by fear alone
Let evidence, ecology, veterinary science, animal behaviour and compassion have an equal seat at the table

India's community dogs are part of the social fabric of countless neighbourhoods
They recognise familiar people and routines, creating deep bonds without formal ownership

When the I&B Minister has warned even about deep fakes and AI … our media reports news without ANY fact checking !!!
One piece of fake news gets picked up by all …
AND then our SC relies on newspaper reports … which is contrary to settled law and judgments of the SC itself ..!!!
11 August — National Indie Dog Day 🇮🇳🐾
They were here before our buildings, roads and cities.
They ask for nothing but food, safety and the right to LIVE. ❤️
They are India’s Indigenous Dogs — not outsiders, not disposable🐕

Humans and dogs have walked together for over 40,000 years
India's native dogs are living history; naturally evolved, deeply resilient, and part of our shared cultural journey.

A SENIOR POLICE INSPECTOR HAS NOW CALLED OUT FAKE KALYAN DOG-BITE NEWS AS FAKE.
Senior Police Inspector Sudhir Kudalkar confirms: only 4–5 bite cases. NOT 125. NOT 150.
When even the POLICE is calling out sensationalised reporting, what excuse does the media have left?
@ANI : We are waiting for you to correct the news article. Apologise and correct.
Fake numbers don’t just misinform. They put innocent lives at stake.
