Now she's wandering around, crying, searching for her babies.

What should she do now?

Should she continue trusting humans?

🚨 क्या आप जानते हैं?

आचार्य चाणक्य (कौटिल्य) ने 2300 वर्ष पहले ही पशु क्रूरता के विरुद्ध कठोर कानून बनाने की बात कही थी।

आज जब पशु अधिकारों की चर्चा आधुनिक विषय मानी जाती है, तब यह जानना आवश्यक है कि भारत के महान राजनैतिक दार्शनिक आचार्य चाणक्य अपने ग्रंथ अर्थशास्त्र और चाणक्य नीति में पशुओं की रक्षा को राज्य का कर्तव्य बताया था।

📜 चाणक्य के अनुसार :

⚖️ 1. पशु क्रूरता पर कठोर दंड

यदि कोई व्यक्ति किसी श्वान या अन्य पशु को जानबूझकर चोट पहुंचाता था या उसका पैर-कान काटता था (Maiming), तो दंड स्वरूप उस व्यक्ति का अंग (जैसे अंगूठा) काट देने या भारी जुर्माना लगाने का नियम था।

बिना वैध कारण किसी पशु की हत्या को अत्यंत गंभीर अपराध माना गया, जिसके लिए परिस्थितियों के अनुसार अत्यंत कठोर दंड का उल्लेख मिलता है। कुछ ऐतिहासिक व्याख्याओं में इसे मृत्युदंड तक बताया गया है।

पशुओं को भूखा रखना, बीमार होने पर उपचार न कराना या उनकी क्षमता से अधिक काम लेना भी दंडनीय माना गया।

यदि कोई मालिक या चरवाहा पशुओं को भूखा रखे, अत्यधिक श्रम करवाए, या बीमार होने पर उपचार न कराए, तो उस पर भारी जुर्माना लगाया जाता था।

🌳 2. अभयारण्य (Wildlife Sanctuaries) की अवधारणा

- चाणक्य ने वनों के कुछ भागों को अभयारण्य घोषित करने की व्यवस्था बताई।
- इन क्षेत्रों में पशु-पक्षियों का शिकार, हत्या या पकड़ना पूर्णतः प्रतिबंधित था।
- ऐसे अपराधों पर राज्य द्वारा कठोर दंड दिया जाता था।

🕉 3. मनुष्य और पशु में अंतर क्या है?

संवेदनशीलता ही मनुष्य और पशु का अंतर है

"आहारनिद्राभयमैथुनानि
समानि चैतानि नृणां पशूनाम्।
ज्ञानं हि तेषामधिको विशेषो
ज्ञानेन हीनाः पशुभिः समानाः॥"

अर्थ:
भोजन, निद्रा, भय और संतान उत्पन्न करना मनुष्य और पशु दोनों में समान है। मनुष्य को श्रेष्ठ बनाता है उसका ज्ञान, धर्म और करुणा। जो दया और विवेक से रहित है, वह पशु के समान ही जीवन जीता है।

मनुष्य में केवल 'ज्ञान' और 'धर्म' (सही-गलत को समझने की क्षमता और संवेदनशीलता) ही वह विशेष गुण है जो उसे पशु से श्रेष्ठ बनाता है। जो मनुष्य दूसरों के प्रति (जिसमें पशु भी शामिल हैं) दया और संवेदनशीलता नहीं रखता, वह साक्षात पशु के समान ही जीवन जी रहा है।

🦁 4. पशु हमारे शिक्षक हैं
चाणक्य ने मनुष्य को पशुओं से श्रेष्ठ नहीं, बल्कि उनसे सीखने योग्य बताया।

- 🦁 शेर से — एकाग्रता
- 🐦 बगुले से — इंद्रिय संयम
- 🐕 कुत्ते से — निष्ठा और वफादारी
- 🫏 गधे से — परिश्रम और संतोष

जिस जीव से हम जीवन के श्रेष्ठ गुण सीख सकते हैं, उसके प्रति क्रूरता करना धर्म, नीति और मानवता—तीनों के विरुद्ध है।

🙏आचार्य चाणक्य का संदेश आज भी उतना ही प्रासंगिक है।

"सच्चा राज्य वही है जहाँ न्याय केवल मनुष्यों के लिए नहीं, बल्कि मूक प्राणियों के लिए भी हो।"

"राजधर्म केवल मनुष्यों की रक्षा नहीं, बल्कि समस्त जीवों की रक्षा है।"

भारत की सनातन परंपरा केवल मानव कल्याण नहीं, बल्कि "सर्वभूत हित" की बात करती है।

आज से लगभग 2300 वर्ष पहले जब विश्व के अधिकांश देशों में पशु अधिकारों की कोई चर्चा नहीं थी, तब भारत के महान आचार्य कौटिल्य पशु संरक्षण, वन्यजीव सुरक्षा और पशु क्रूरता पर कठोर दंड की व्यवस्था कर चुके थे।

यदि 2300 वर्ष पहले भारत पशुओं की रक्षा के लिए कानून बना सकता था, तो आज हम क्यों नहीं?

🐾 करुणा ही संस्कृति है।
🐾 पशु संरक्षण ही सच्चा राजधर्म है।
🐾 अहिंसा ही सनातन धर्म की आत्मा है।

ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः, सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु, मा कश्चिद् दुःखभाग्भवेत्॥
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः॥

यह श्लोक भारतीय संस्कृति के मूल सिद्धांत "वसुधैव कुटुंबकम्" (पूरी पृथ्वी एक परिवार है) और सार्वभौमिक शांति की भावना को दर्शाता है।
