After 4 years, tonight is my final night in Moscow.
I am incredibly grateful to all my Russian friends and to those I’ve worked with. Moscow will always have a place in my heart.
Russia is a huge, complex country and I am grateful to have lived here at such a tumultuous time.
Not a fan of Reeves, but quite nice to see a politician shouting something back rather than immediately defaulting to cry-bullying and claiming they were abused.
Teachers striking days before the GCSE and A Level exams.😱
Kids protesting opposite them, demanding to be taught! Poor kids.
This is the state of our country.
God help us. 😳
This is remarkable, old-fashioned parliamentary oratory at its best, regardless of one’s agreement or disagreement. Observe the rhetorical tropes, the voice, the movement, and the vocabulary. A vanishing art in the Commons.

Silver lining to the BAFTA incident is the UK public - people of all races - have been mostly pretty sympathetic and understanding to John Davidson and Tourette’s
Meanwhile Americans have generally been quite abusive, I’ve found the culture divide pretty heartening for us Brits
Lots of bitching about Reform’s shadow cabinet.
While the only official shadow cabinet is of course the Tories’, I think Reform are being shrewd.

Catherine O’Hara. My goodness. Hard to explain the impact she had on comedy. For me, no one better. She was generational. Since SCTV she has been brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant. Funniest ever. Man. We lost a great. A true great. Sending love to Bo Welch and her family. So sad we lost her incredible presence among us. Will always look up to her. Man.
