In my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar๐ธ, electric skateboarding ๐น, and travelling ๐บ๏ธ!
@drrdemon Congrats girl! Glad to see you persevere! I was in the same boat as you a year ago and it felt so good to put the last year of uncertainty behind me. Iโm glad you are getting experience the bliss on the other side :)
@brad_loomis Feeling the same way. For years I couldn't wait to escape, and this past week I've now been thinking things like, "was it really that bad? I'm gonna miss this..."
I promised myself I wouldn't forget the bad about medschool though, so I can't allow things to become rose-colored.
@drrdemon I was in your shoes last year. Take your time processing what happened, and as others have said, give yourself some grace. You have nothing to be ashamed of. "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life." Keep pushing, always forward.
@drrdemon When I didn't match last year I decided to dual apply. I thought back to what other specialty I had passion for & started building out that app with LORs & putting together a story that reflected the journey. A lot will depend on your plans for the year (ie Prelim/TY/Research)
@tiredandtachy Hopefully all the "sterile saline" that's used to make the slush is not provided by her because for all you know, she's been adding tap water.

@arabinmed A bit of unsolicited advice, but figuring out your study approach/style and completing a couple medschool exams/blocks before diving into clubs and research will set you up for success. Congrats on your acceptance ๐
@VivPaps That information should definitely be disclosed prior to applying. I think, to some degree, that information can be found on Residency Explorer but I don't know how accurate it is.
@rohitmarawar @NabilElHageChe2 There is no separate space, which is the problem. Everything on ERAS has limited character allowance, except the PS section. If you would like to see this, perhaps send out secondaries to your applicants, or get ERAS to add a space in the future. Signals should be interest enough
