It's almost as stupid as claiming there is a "philosophy of capital" (capitalism), and that such philosophy causes "wealth inequality" and poverty.

But, even Friedman suggested a form of UBI called the Reverse Income Tax. RIT at much higher than current average welfare and FICA benefit levels would cost about half of today's social state, and would have almost no administrative overhead.

But that requires that ALL federal, state, and local transfer programs other than RIT be repealed. Because going from spending $5T on welfare to $8T on welfare is unacceptable.
