@EddieComeaux@GlobalSportMtrs It’s difficult trying to take actions in fixing athletes' treatments in education when there’s an existence of inequality & injustice towards black individuals. Even those helping often mis address material structures of anti-blackness, they ignore the suffering of Black athletes
@ichoi024@besavageee I agree, the feedback provided from athletes should be taken more into consideration as they themselves no there limits and potential and more so because that is what can help them grow as athletes and as a person. @besavageee
The feedback that athletes give to advisors, coaches, practitioners is something that should be dealt with more consideration as that determines the relationship between them and the impact they can have in their life as athletes or personal self. #ucr150@besavageee
@Mandoiba@besavageee I agree, simply because they are well known many individuals don’t seem to realize the side trouble that is occurring to these athletes. @besavageee
It is no surprise to know that the NCAA is not the only organization that adapts and enforces amateurism to its athletes; however, they are the ones that have the most lawsuits filed against them for not truly protecting their athletes. #ucr150@besavageee
@duran_m22@besavageee I agree, they are not allowing for students to transfer out to proceed with their careers or passing of interest without following through with such rules/requirements making it more complicating. @besavageee
It’s interesting to know that although the NCAA suggests athletes sit out to focus on their studies or adjust to life, athletes are in some way forced to compete as soon as they arrive, which proves they are not follow through with their statement. #ucr150@besavageee
@sandyespinozaa@besavageee@sandyespinozaa I agree, I believe that it should in fact be required that coaches provide knowledge and approaches to help improve the safety of athletes as injuries can later result as a long term complication with not much help offered after they age out. @besavageee
It’s surprising that approximately 50-80 percents of sport related mTBIs are said to be unreported simply because most athletes are afraid of losing their position. However the longer athletes endure the injuries, leads to long term damage. #ucr150@besavageee
@kimberlynunez03@besavageee Hello, I agree collage athletes are not being compensated fairly even when they play such an important role for their institution name, reputation and financial aspect. As the article “Policy…” states athlete are not given recognition for their brands/projects.@besavageee
@joceg002@besavageee Hello, I can see where you are coming from and I agree with you. I feel athletes give so much of themselves to represent/play for the institution but are not compensated as they should. You have a point, struggling financially just complicates the situation even more.@besavageee
@ichoi024@besavageee I agree, I feel that they often care more about the athletic, popularity, financial part and not the rest such as education and their well being which is the most important. @besavageee
@Mandoiba@besavageee I agree, woman have always been trying to fight for equality but it seems like there is no change. I did not know about that situation but I’m glad you brought it up. @besavageee
In some part, title IX was intended to help provide equal opportunities for all athletes not regarding gender however, women today are still constantly trying to be treated fairly. Which is devastating and unbelievable. #ucr150@besavageee

It’s surprising that the 1 year scholarship can not renewed even if the athlete has an outstanding academic standard but also that college sports are not given the same financial opportunities as some are only provided with half the amount compare to others. #ucr150@besavageee

@AnaRoman It's both shocking and disappointing to know that for athletes, Grants-in-Aid over time went from providing a four year guaranteed paid scholarship to only one year renewal, when most individuals' goal is to play and represent that institution. #ucr150@besavageee

Ana Roman @Aroma01301 When we come to think of College players in sports such as football we are not really informed of the lack of treatments that athletes deal with. The deficiency of compensation for their effort, passion, health, personality. @besavageee#ucr150
