@EddieComeaux@GlobalSportMtrs The NCAA claims that after the George Floyd incident that there must be change and improvements but have done nothing. If they really wanted to help the black community, they would ensure that black college athletes are better positioned for life after college.
African Americans are constantly fight a battle on the field to be the best and are pushed harder because coaches believe in them but their education is not being focused enough and on top of that they have to deal with racism. #ucr150@besavageee
@ccass015@besavageee Not only does racism create enemies but it creates a mental block on players that have to deal with racism. The athletes can not focus on performing when it is in the back of the head that there are people out there being racist. #ucr150@besavageee
The NCAA has been involved in multiple lawsuits and it’s unbelievable the fact that people are suing the NCAA. They are here to protect their student athletes but in reality they are being selfish and only care about their profits. #ucr150@besavageee
@ccass015@besavageee Great point , The NCAA claims they are here for our best interest but are constantly put in the spot light about certain topics. #ucr150@besavageee
A student athlete should have the option of studying the major of their choice when transferring without any issues because at the end of the day a student wants a career that makes them happy and well paid. The NCAA needs to put more focus on this issue. #ucr150@besavageee
@itzsangela@besavageee Hello Angela, I agree with your post. The NCAA must do more in supporting student athletes because their priority is being a student first then an athlete. #ucr150@besavageee
@angrodriguez_82@besavageee Very well said, So many athletes are put at risk on the field because their school does not follow protocol. NCAA needs to enforce stricter regulations for this issue immediately. @besavageee#ucr150
NCAA protocols are not very well put together, especially in the return to play aspects. It is known that there have been ties that teams and staff are underreporting these tests, simply because an athlete can be hiding some symptoms. This Must get fixed. #ucr150@besavageee
@vtellez2022 @besavageee Women have been working so hard for an equal chance and they are still not recognized for their hard work. There needs to be a change TODAY. @besavageee#ucr150
There is so much inequality going on in Women’s sports today, yes there has been a lot of benefits but it is not fair for example that the Womens US soccer national teams wins world cup and they are barely getting paid for what the’ve demanding for years #ucr150@besavageee
@ccass015@besavageee Many of these incoming freshmen are excited to join their school but need to pay attention to the details before signing etc. @besavageee
Many of these student athletes do not know that Scholarships are only for 1 year, there needs to be better information given to our student athletes or incoming freshmen. #ucr150@besavageee
@angrodriguez_82@besavageee This is a very true statement! Personally and sadly there have been times where I had to starve while being in school because I had no money. #ucr150@besavageee
How are college athletes supposed to keep competing without compensation in their pockets? There are college athletes that just stop playing because they are stressed out of financial issues. #ucr150@besavageee
@VanBui23@besavageee I couldn’t agree me many athletes sleep and breathe their sport, they work tremendously hard to be in the position they are in but a lot of the times they are not recognized and that brings them down mentally and diminishes their well being. @besavageee#ucr150
Student athletes go through adversity in order to perform at the highest level of their abilities in the class and on the field and that sometimes affects the well being or health of these student athletes. #ucr150@besavageee
