Just a web developer with a passion for enabling others and making the world a better place.

Working this year on a modern e-commerce plugin for @WordPress aimed at people selling digital products, subscriptions, licenses, services, etc!

I’ve always been a fan of @eddwp but it has a lot of backwards compatibility code and bloat now, with a clunky checkout process that isn’t really designed for modern commerce. We have better things now like Stripe Checkout which save reinventing the wheel and provide better security.

WooCommerce also suffers from poor admin experience and bad database design. None are really “friendly” or easy to use. Which i think is a factor why people opt for @lemonsqueezy and similar hosted solutions.

Because I have the luxury of starting from scratch, I can design with performance, security and scalability in mind. I also can use newer technologies like React for every single screen, REST, etc.

Not sure how much “market” is left in WordPress as it’s kinda dying in the water and not really relevant anymore, but if anything it will be a fun project to undertake. I’m already about 50% done 🚀

@TokenGremlin Definitely happening, had to sign up for a second account to finish work!

@gregoryjhickman Host them on @Cloudflare for free

Absolutely no need for a CMS in 2026 with agentic development. Just build a site on Astro, deploy to GitHub and host on Cloudflare (for free). Zero stress about it being hacked or anything like that.

The usual response will be “What if my client wants to update it?”, the client can send you a message or email with the request (or link to google doc) you pass to the agent and it does it. Interfaces will die out in the future, everything will be natural language. Very few places where it makes sense now to be honest!

opus reading a codebase I wrote pre llms

[David Michael @ArrayPress]

@kettanaito @jonathan_wilke You can’t set hard spending limits on @Cloudflare, only notifications/alerts. This is the biggest downside at the minute

@AdmireTheWeb Let your agent manage everything

[David Michael @ArrayPress]

@AdmireTheWeb Astro 7, just put all content on github and have it auto deploy (for free) to Cloudflare at no cost.

imagine mastering the craft of IT for 20 years just to stare at this daily

There's nothing kind about letting good people live in a fantasy world that no longer exists. You have to tell them, even if it hurts. Because the sooner they accept reality, the sooner they can adapt to the future.

@Outdoctrination I think he was wrong about orange juice (regardless of quality), if metabolism is already impaired it can have anti-thyroid properties. A few studies published demonstrated this and it’s been my experience as well

[David Michael @ArrayPress]

@adamlyttleapps OpenAI models have always been terrible for coding and flashy demos aren’t enough to convince me otherwise.

Granted all models can hallucinate but for serious work Claude is still in the lead regardless of what any benchmark say.

@mariodian @lexfridman @dhh I just pull the transcript and get bullets, much like books most of it is fluff with a few good ideas thrown in!

@cynomel Did you ever restart t3 again?

Today is a very historical moment for AI video generation

You can now generate AI video faster than you can watch it

Before it'd take let's say 2-5 minutes to generate 15 seconds of video

@fal made a post-trained Minimax H3 variant called Max which is 50x faster than the original but still maintains quality

It generates 15 seconds of video in 9 seconds!

That means you can now do new things like build a perpetual livestream with it that never ends!

30% of Fable is shit like this

“First, framing is key here since context precedes substance. This is an observation - not an assertion. The honest answer is different from what you described, and has two layers. One of them rooted in principle, the other in practice. Here’s your answer - synthesized, not condensed”

@JamesWelbes Boomers will keep it afloat for another 5-10 years because they are used to the editing experience.

Definitely better options now with the like of Astro and even basic html/css which can be hosted for free on @Cloudflare!

Humans are designed to create. This is why you get depressed if all you do is consume.

instead of making software for humans, you should be making software for AIs
