Some real advice here:
Consider switching from price based trading to thesis based trading. It's very hard to bag a 100x with price based trading because there's most definitely going to be some local vol along the way that will trigger your system to sell.
You hold through those dips when you're holding because of a thesis, not price. You enter a trade when you believe something will happen, you exit when it either fulfills that or fails to do so, that's it, price is not involved.
This style isn't for everyone but I think for the people who can pull it off, it's vastly superior for holding something for real multiples and not "only" a 2-5x
my favorite trading strategy: sell initials when up 20% - 2x and let it ride
- spot an organic non-bundled coin picking up traction off the top 12 list
- buy into a coin seeing good volume (0.2 SOL min)
- very tight stop loss: 5-15% max depending on portfolio size and risk tolerance
- sell initials when up 20-50% minimum (i like buying with 1 SOL pre-migration or right after migration)
- when the coin does 5-10x sell the rest. if it dies, let the leftovers go to zero
- rinse and repeat. landing on just one top runner every day makes the strat pay off HUGE
narra shouldn’t be so easy to understand, because all the farmer KOLs get in so early with giga bundle supply.
narra shouldn’t be so hard either, because liquidity is so low and not everyone is smart.
or,
you buy with the bundle at 50k and sell to the uncles who are slow at 500k (i’m one of them), and move on to the next one.
the thing is, there will be a coin that changes the whole playbook, but also, if you get psyoped into thinking this is the coin that changes everything to every new shiny coin, you’ll end up getting zeroed before you catch it.
welcome to the trenches.
It took me 35 years to learn this: If you’re half-in, you’re actually all-out. Even 90% in gets you nowhere. There’s something magical in that last little bit. It's where you unlock new levels to the game. Simply because so few have the courage to do it.
1/ Controversial take: hard work is more important than smart work.
It's a myth that we only have a few hours of good creative work per day. Train yourself to grind long hours first. You will surprise yourself. The work naturally become higher quality, less distracted.

In 2018, Kobe Bryant gave a 1-hour masterclass on "Mamba Mentality" at USC.

15 lessons from Kobe Bryant:
Absolutely true. Everything boils down to repetition and removing consciousness from the task. You should repeat something so much that you don't even think about doing it, to the point where you have to put in effort not to do it. Just like you don't think to walk; you just walk. Thinking is only needed to stop. You find learning difficult because you are conscious about it, and consciousness is the biggest enemy in trying anything.
Why? Because the things we most need to learn, like driving, swimming, or starting a new job, are the ones that make us afraid. Consciousness shines a spotlight on that fear, making you hesitate, overthink, and tense up. While consciousness gives you awareness, it is best suspended when you want to learn anything new.
You don't have to fight against the enemy or the task at hand. You only have to fight your reluctance and hesitation. Fear fades when action becomes automatic.
The older I get, the more I realize it’s perfectly ok to tell nobody what’s coming for you. Disappear for a few years and come back crushing it. Don’t say a word to anyone about plans or progress. Grow in silence. Work without validation. Normalize the silent rise. It’s special.
