@kukreja_abhinav Funny thing is we have already started the celebration a while back.. China doesn’t even bother considering us even for comparison sake !!
In the early 1950s, Russia was offering crude oil to India in rupees. The US opposed it even then.
95% of the market was in the control of three Western MNCs - Burmah Shell, Stanvac, and Caltex. They refused to accept Russian oil.
It was then that Minister Keshav Dev Malviya moved the proposal for oil exploration and production in India itself, which got active support from PM Nehru.
US and Britain refused technical help and financial support for oil exploration, arguing that a poor country like India didn’t need to venture out for such an expensive adventure.
But India went ahead. ONGC was established in 1955. Within two years, KD Malviya ensured that 100 geologists and geophysicists were trained. By 1959, India struck oil!
Since then, ONGC has led India’s energy security programme. It became India’s most profitable company. By 2014, it was debt-free, with cash reserves of 13,000 crore rupees. India produced 27% of its domestic oil needs. Now it is 13%!
Come 2025. ONGC is under a debt of 78,000 crore rupees. The money for exploration was diverted to write off loans and dead investment of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation worth nearly 26,000 crore rupees and fund the deficit of the Union Government by forcing ONGC to buy stakes of HPCL for 36,000 crore rupees, which went to the union budget!
So the exploration suffered, and our domestic production of crude oil is falling.
I write for National Herald that how the Modi government strangulated oil exploration, profiteered from oil imports, and squeezed money out of the common people in the form of taxes.
Now is the time to protect them from rising crude oil prices by giving subsidies, by taking a cue from the UPA government and Dr. Manmohan Singh’s policies.

@we_are_cult Sorry I’m not sending you any email. The video evidence is in front of you and I have mentioned the issue. This is only center in Nagpur city, and this is how this so called “cult owner” (his words now not mine) is behaving with a member!!
Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi says, "I don't think PM will have the guts to come to the Lok Sabha today because if he comes, I am going to give him this book. If the PM comes, I will go physically and hand him this book so he can read it and the country can get to know the truth."
"...Every youngster in India should see that this book exists. This is Mr Naravane's book. He has given an entire account of Ladakh in this book; I have been told that I cannot quote this book. The main line is what the PM said - "jo uchit samjho wo karo". When the (former) Chief of Army Staff General Naravane called up Rajnath Singh ji and said that Chinese tanks have reached the Kailash Ridge, so what should we do? First, Rajnath Singh did not respond to him. He asked Jaishankar ji, NSA and Rajnath Singh but received no reply. He then called up Rajnath Singh once again. Rajnath Singh told him that he would ask the 'top'. The standing order of the 'top' was that if Chinese forces come in, we should not fire on them without permission. Naravane ji and our Army wanted to fire on those tanks because they had entered our territory. Narendra Modi ji gave a message that "jo uchit samjho wo karo". It means that Narendra Modi did not fulfil his duties; he told the Army chief to do whatever he wants as "mere bas ki nahi hai." Naravane ji writes, 'I felt really alone, I was abandoned by the entire establishment."
You can rebook an Indigo flight. You can’t rebook your lungs
Why does air pollution, which impacts millions, rarely trigger the same kind of outrage as the recent Indigo fiasco that inconvenienced only a few lakh travellers?
In the end, pollution will never trend like Indigo cancellations because you can’t scream at PM2.5 on Instagram or tag an air purifier demanding a refund. Clean air has no customer care number, no airline staff to bully, no apology video to forward to your school and college WhatsApp group.
And so the gated-community wallahs will hunker down behind their purifiers, counting AQI like stock prices, pretending this is normal.
But here’s the joke: you can rebook a cancelled flight. You can’t rebook a pair of lungs. And unlike Indigo, the air doesn’t care about how much tax you pay.

More bad news for mobile phone users in India (after SIM binding): Our government is mandating a government app (sanchar saathi) on every new phone, permanently, Reuters reports.
Will be pushed to your phone via OTA. New smartphones need to have it. Users cannot delete it. This is a first. India has never before required an unremovable state app on every device. Russia does btw, with its MAX Messenger (started September 2025).
A few comments regarding this:
1. Sanchar Saathi is a lost phone tracker, but if it gets embedded with no possibility of removal, it becomes a government tracker on your device.
IF the government is allowed to get away with this, what’s next? A mandatory digital ID app? Digiyatra forcefully installed on each device? An app that disables VPNs or tracks your app and browser history? An app that sends copies of your messages to the government once a month?
Once the OS layer is opened to the state, it doesn’t close.
2. Legally, one can argue that your mobile phone is your personal space, and this is an invasion of your personal space.
It’s where we have our most private conversations. Exchange sensitive information with people we trust.
How do we know this app isn’t used to access files and messaging on our device, which is unencrypted on device? Or a future update won’t do that? This is clearly an invasion of our privacy.
3. Remember how the government exempt itself from much of the Data Protection Law. This explains why.
The Data Protection Law will make private companies more accountable and the Indian government less accountable.
4. Bloatware is already an issue with some phones (It’s why I don’t use Samsung). Now there’s more, and this time the government is forcing bloatware. I guess we’ll all have to root our phones now. When you buy a phone with bloatware, you're choosing to buy it with bloatware. This is different.
5. The way things work with India’s Department of Telecom, there was no public consultation, the order wasn’t disclosed. Just forced. This is dictatorial in nature. If they get away with this, more will follow.
Dear Ms. Bendre, as a clinician sub-specialist treating a multitude of cancer patients daily, I expected better from you. Cancer-survivors, especially celebrity cancer-survivors are an important asset/ resource for cancer patients and their families when it comes to science based, rationalistic and logical therapeutic journeys which help improve outlook towards cancer diagnosis, care and prevention. You are not helping here, by promoting quackery. Let me explain.
Long read, but worth your time.
In 2018, you were diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic endometrial cancer that had spread to other parts of the body. You moved to New York for an intense cancer treatment regimen, including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. In 2019, you shared that you had achieved remission, and was officially cancer-free and returned to India.
I repeat, your cancer went into remission after chemotherapy, radiation and surgery at an advanced cancer treatment hospital.
Not because of Naturopathy. Not because of autophagy. Because you have the option (and privilege) to opt for the best treatments from scientific practice to help you.
Naturopathy is a quackery. Fraudulent cancer treatments offered under the guise of naturopathy are a serious issue, with numerous reported cases of patients being financially exploited and potentially harmed by delaying effective, evidence-based medical care.
The FDA has issued multiple warning letters to inform patients regarding illegally sold cancer treatments - Naturopathy features prominently in most: https://t.co/bBPazEn8Ph
In scientifically progressive countries, Naturopaths have been banned from promoting treatments for cancer - https://t.co/4S3fk3m07Z
In an exhaustive list of unproven and disproven cancer treatments, Naturopathy features alongside the other nonsensical pseudoscientific "therapies" such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy: https://t.co/Cxi8k4QRpd
A very famous Naturopath, left Naturopathy and has been educating people to not opt for Naturopathy as a treatment option for anything. Her name is Britt Marie Hermes and I strongly advice everyone to follow her and read her blogs.
https://t.co/5Wu1Nty1sm and https://t.co/SWvduqFTWH. She calls Naturopathy - essentially "witchcraft" just like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, Unani are.
Now this whole 'hungama' about autophagy. Autophagy is a normal physiological process. It happens normally inside you whether you want it or not.
Autophagy is simply your cells' recycling system - when nutrients are scarce, cells break down and reuse damaged or unnecessary components to survive.
While this process is important for normal cellular health, naturopaths and fasting promoters dangerously misrepresent it by claiming that fasting "activates autophagy" to prevent or cure cancer, despite no credible human evidence supporting this.
The reality is far more complex: cancer cells actually exploit autophagy to survive harsh conditions like chemotherapy and low oxygen, meaning that triggering autophagy could theoretically help tumours survive rather than eliminate them. This oversimplified "detox" narrative preys on vulnerable cancer patients by promising miraculous results from fasting regimens while potentially delaying proven treatments, ignoring that the relationship between autophagy and cancer is highly context-dependent and still being researched.
The ethical violation lies in marketing unproven interventions as cancer cures based on superficial understanding of cellular biology, exploiting patients' hope while potentially causing harm through malnutrition or treatment delays.
Naturopathy research especially on nutritional medicine and fasting is highly fraudulent and misleading: https://t.co/CpbvxMDvHq
So ditch that Naturopath and these quack principles, and start embracing real scientific medicine. I wish you the best in your journey forward as an ally in fighting cancer, for patients and their family. And for doctors who work hard to improve cancer patients lives.
@deepigoyal First I thought this was a satire. But it’s not. I just know he is going to sell some pill, some antigravity regimen or a device or a program , but I can’t prove it.
Love the energy of techbros to explain away ANYTHING by putting together random information..
